 The only way I would "hookup" with someone far away while I was passing through their town is if I had been chatting/emailing them for some time and knew them well.

 It's sad how easy it is to talk to me if they'd just use complete sentences that weren't about sex. I'd be happy if they kept it below 20% sextalk.

 Actually I used to thinc the same thing, until a gal from St Croi (3000 miles from me at the time) sent me an IM. My 1st question was WHY. She replied, that she was tired of searching for a man on the island to suit her, and had broadened her horizons, She was aware there was a direct flight to PR from where I was with a connection to St Croi seveal times a day. I was interested, as she fit all my other requirements of the time, but I told her I couldnt afford to fly there at that time, nor was I fond of flying. She was flying home in the future, and it was cheaper for her to do a stoppover along the way than a direct flight, so we arranged to meet when she stopped in my town. We had a good nite, I didnt thinc it would be more than a 1 nite stand, but she surprised me, planned a stop again on her return with a cpl of day layover, and we did the town. I ended up flying to St Croi twice to visit her too. Sadly, I didnt thinc I could find employment on St Croi, and our thing died a slow death over the following months. So, long distance contacts can worc, sometimes!
