My job as a man.

My job as a man is to be human, not barbaric. It is still my responsibility to protect this country even though my dues have already been paid in green blood. It is my job to help someone in need whether that person is my lover or a stranger, friend or even, sometimes, a foe.

It is my job to defend my family name even though some of it's members are not worthy. As a man it is my duty to uphold tradition while creating new ones. It is my job to give strength when needed by those who have less.

It is my honor to open a door for a lady, to let her feel the simple dignity of of times long since passed. It is my responsibility to never harm a woman with fists, no matter what aggression she may direct my way.

It is my job to cry, to break down and shed tears when needed, to be weak and ask for a simple hug.

It is my place at a woman's side, not in front of her nor hiding behind. I will be a companion and lover as long as time gives, as long as my life will allow.

As a man I must mend my fences and keep a home for friends and loved ones. I will provide shelter and comfort in the worst of storms.

It is my job as a man to be a man. I have not a feminine side nor do I desire to be more feminine. I was brought here a man, I will leave as one. I am a man, a good man and desire to be nothing more, or less.

Being a good man isn't hard, we're just hard to find.

See ya.

Sadly yes, good men are becoming harder and harder to find. And that causes more and more women to not know how to recognize you guys. Seems like a rather sad downward spiral dosen't it?
Smile though, dear, you're one of the best.

Curious- Thank you, and good point.

Karma - Everyone is entitled to an opinion. You'll need to get up a tad earlier to catch me saying something off color so you can gloat about how you got me kicked out of here. Please, If you have nothing better to do than insult a man you know nothing about, I would appreciate you posting nasty remarks on someone else's blog. Thank you.

Who said anything about getting you kicked off?

All I ever wanted was to keep her safe from you, and I even tried to give you a chance to convince me you weren't garbage, but you proved me right. Your aura is slimy.

If she's stupid enough to even talk to you after what you said to her the last time, fine. I wash my hands of you both... I know she never bothered to read the blog post I dedicated to her. Maybe then she would have understood.
