thanks for sharing... sometimes I get the names or places wrong... but, I still enjoy the sensation I get when that memory pops up... reminds me of these... Jim Croce - "Photographs And Memories" Photographs and memories Christmas cards you sent to me All that I have are these To remember you Memories that come at night Take me to another time Back to a happier day When I called you mine But we sure had a good time When we started way back when Morning walks and bedroom talks Oh how I loved you then Summer skies and lullabies Nights we couldn't say good-bye And of all of the things that we knew Not a dream survived Photographs and memories All… To leave private messages, please use my confidential mailbox at my blog: Good luck!!!

Ms.Wanting, How you take me back with this post... It may well only be hindsight blinding me to reality, but those were simpler times, with an easier flow. People were more repressed, but more free at the same time. { as you alluded to when discussing your poetry reading...tight enough to feel the fear, liberated enough to move past it...} Those of us who lived through those unencumbered times will never see their like again. Within the world beset with social media, there will never be the freedom to just be oneself. There is no privacy to learn from one's adventures. Everything and anything you do, or even attempt to do, becomes public knowledge within minutes, if not seconds..... How I long for days like you describe in Stanley Park. Outdoors in the fresh air of a simpler era. Spending Time with people you care for, enjoying the experience for experience's sake, with not a cell phone in sight to take a picture to be shared around the globe. Just you...your intimates, and those intimate moments; ones you will hold in your memory forever. Those memories by themselves could well fill another binder full of poetry.

You know sometimes... Times were simpler when we were young but I remember my grandmother saying something about her missing the time before tv and telephone! I guess my point is... when we are young, we have a fresh outlook on life and when we are older we can get caught up in our lives and crap. It is the individual who can still access the fresh outlook on life and be in the moment that enjoys their life to its fullest. Your poetry might do that for you and THAT is a great thing! Kk The observant make the best lovers, I may not do right, but I do write, I have bliss, joy, and happiness in my life, Kitkat Come check out my blog KItkat1415 check out this post by me Adventures In Body Grooming #39 April Topic Link: What Lies Beneath If April Showers Oh Bloody Hell What Kind Of Weather Turns Me On Bloggers Symposium 40

Your post has prompted me to dig out my efforts at writing poetry when I was much younger. I think I'll cringe when I read them!

What a great story. I guessed you must have been a somewhat prolific writer before joining this site. It shows in your blog. I was on several different web-sites at one time. I can't even remember some of them...sadly!
