Body Type??What does one mean when they say ____ ?

I am often baffled by what is meant when the different terms are used to describe body type. So I would enjoy hearing from any and all as to what Average, Volumptuous, BBW, Large, and Athletic means to others.
To me:

Average = heavier than one would like but still in reasonably good physical condition and weight proportionate to height.
Voluptuous = means large chested and maybe extra curvy, but not necessarily very overweight or fat, and still in reasonably good physical shape and condition.
Large= Tall and big boned and possibly also overweight but not extremely fat or obese, and still in fairly good physical shape and condition.
BBW or BBM = Means very large and not in good physical shape and probably obese by medical definition at least.
Athletic= To me this means toned and height/weight proportionate, and good muscle mass and endurance for hard physical activity.
This one can be as confusing as several of the above. In part due to confusions as to what the others mean. lol
So what do you mean or think when you see the above terms used here at AdultFriendFinder? Your comments will be appreciated.
Slim= To me this means no curves and and maybe not up to hard physical activity ! AKA The Hilton sisters look lol
Tiny or petite= A woman 5' or shorter who might be mistaken in figure for a young boy if her hair is also very short.

hummm...well I am just me & it's take me as I am or leave me having said that, I am what some would consider with a little extra padding....I'm 52, have rode horses all my life...had 2 kids...barrel raced, run race horses, you name it...but that still doesn't keep me from getting winkles & saggy skin...I mean we're human for godsakes...gravity does take it toll...& heredity does too....I have Swedish ancesters...I'm genetically diagramed to start falling gain wt where I don't want it...I'm also not small boned....I get under a 145lbs & I look like a bag of while I may not be a size 4...don't underestimate the strength of this fat girl....those skinny whispy things men are always whistling at can't hold a candle to me...I know I'm sexy...they just wish they that is my 2 cents on the

Found the body type question confusing and vague. Each person is their own worst judge and with such a subjective question...its hard to say what everyone is really thinking/meaning when they answer. I said I had a little extra padding.

For me to be "PC" with the height weight charts for 5'7" I'd have to weigh less than 140 or so & I look horribly anorexic and feel very unhealthy at that weight & lower. Did that in my teens and early 20's - never again. Have found that, being blessed with my father's bone structure, I actually look and feel better with more weight. I'm fortunate that my weight is solid and I don't look as heavy as I am.

Have had some health problems that made me balloon up to size 22, and am happy that I've dropped 50 lbs so far (my size 14's are getting baggy) and hoping to drop another 30 or so. But if the last 30 don't come off, that's fine with me. Its really nice to travel lighter, but think its more important to feel comfortable in your own skin, physically & mentally. That kind of comfort breeds confidence, and that is sexier than any particular size or weight.

I do feel that in most cases a claimed size 14/16 would be a bigger girl than I might probably be attracted to, unless she was tall and that extra size was firm instead of flabby. But as Kiss me quick points out bigger does not always mean FAT so one should not judge to quickly. As one never knows for sure until one sees or meets the person as to what one will find attractive, and often that impression improves after one gets to know the individual !
A lot of the world considers Marilyn Monroe to be super attractive and sexy and I have been told that she was either a size 12 or 14

Does anyone really know what average means..... I read in one study , the average American woman wears a size 14/16... hmmm, puts a new prospective on things huh... most guys think if a WOMAN is larger than a 6 or 8 that you are FAT... alot of it depends on your height and bone structure...
I consider myself a thick girl, thicker rather than wider, but still very sexy... LOL

It amazes me at the guys that will not give us bigger girls the time of day...but then again I've never had complaints from any guy that I've been with..

Well, I think I am a big girl, a BBW. But, some say I'm not big. Some say I am "fluffy". Others just don't comment. I think size has alot to do with attitude and how you carry yourself. Some of the thinnest ppl have no sex appeal, and some large ppl are sexy as hell. It is perseption. Personally when I look in my mirror, I see a large woman and usually I see a beautiful person.
Hope this helps.

Im "ample" between voluptious and average.. Age does destroy alot of elastin and no matter how hard you work at the gym or in the martial arts studio, it still doesnt look like it used to. I guess this is life..

Funny thing is, in my mid-30's when I smoked and didnt take care of myself I was 25 lbs lighter. And I thought I was heavy back then!

i think people misestimate their body type all the time on AdultFriendFinder...usually to their advantage.

"Volumptuous"? No...that is not the actual word - try using "voluptuous" instead.

Otherwise, great points were made above here.

The category "A little extra padding" seems rather vague to me. It seems that women have taken great liberties with their own interpretations of what this one actually means.

I have also had many women tell me something to the effect of, "I have put on a few pounds since these photos were taken."

In my experience, what that claim all-too-often actually means is, "I have put on many pounds since these photos were taken."
