It's been awhile . . .

Well, I finally have my baby girl back. She's been gone for about 8 months. The ex had her. The only catch is that I have to move. The good news is that a friend of mine has a house that he's evicting the tenant from. (yes, I rent) I can't tell you how happy that I am that I have her back at home with me. She's almost 11 and she is def daddy's baby girl. Did I tell you that she is a dog? Seriously, she's a miniature eskimo spitz. Let me tell you how I got her.

While my ex and I were living in a town called Shippensburg, a neighbor asked us if we wanted another dog. We already had her dog, a mini schnauzer that was blind, deaf and had a bullet in his hip, and my dog, a part collie/golden retriever. So, we said no. A few days later, as we passed by the neighbors house, we saw this dog in the window. We went over and looked at it. What we saw would disgust even the dirtiest of people.

We could see in the livingroom window. Saw the whole way into the kitchen. Besides the furniture and the dog, the only other thing we saw was dog poop. It completely covered the floor. You could see footprints in it. I didn't even have to ask the ex. I broke into the house and took the dog. She was 6 months old at the time. I have had her ever since. She prefers women because of abuse from her previous owner (a single man), but, she won't leave my side now. Even if I were with someone, she would always be there with me.

As for the neighbor, he said something to me about the dog. Of course he noticed she was gone, and then he saw that we had her. I told him that he's lucky that I didn't call the humane society and the cops. I should have just dropped his ass. How can anyone treat others, even pets who know only love for their owners, with such disregard? I know that we all have our moments, but, to such length? We need to take those people who have no compassion or caring and shove bottles up their ass and shatter them. Then, just let them lay there, praying for someone to come and save them.

Good for you & im so glad youre getting your baby girl back.

We have a pet rabbit & my friends often say shes better fed & cared for than they are at home. She is part of the family & lives in our kitchen with a large pen just outside the kitchen door. We have to climb over the pen to get out to the car....we dont mind though.

When people have pets they seem to forget its a lifelong committment & not just a hobby you can push away when youre bored.

I definently agree with you, as an animal lover who has adopted all of my pets, I think you did the right thing in taking that dog... That is how I ended up with one of my cats. I don't think that the laws are tough enough for animal abusers.
