I have finished designing a tattoo for myself...It will go on my upper arm...high enough that I can hide it with short sleeves...

She is Frejya the Norse God of Erotic love...among many other things...she is a strong woman who escorted fallen warriors up to valhalla...

There are runes around her head that have a specific meaning to me...

What do yuo think of women with a is getting more socially acceptable and not only biker chicks and women you wouldn't want to meet down a dark alley have them now...

I think if men can have tattoos so can women. I'm trying to work up the courage to get one myself actually.

I find it really cool that you did so much research into the norse mythology to learn about Frejya. I am sure having the tattoo will be a good story to share with people, explaining the story behind the goddess, hinting at what you may be inside. I am sure that you will meet men who will fantasy about you taking them to a semi-paradise state.

As for your question... I think women who wear tattoo's are bold, adventerous and know what they like. Which is a turn on.

Thank you for writing your thoughts.

Tattoo is a reflexion of yourself, in old ages tottooed man where warriors and each tattoo was a description of their life. Not only victory but all that meen something to them, wife, kids, pain of dead friend. Anything who really mean something during life. Now tattoo are more an esthetic question but for some, as you, the tattoo is the expression of yourself. The woinderfull thing is that you design it, he really meen something to you. I found tattooed woman really exiting, dont know why but tattoo on a woman is attractive to me. No matter what kind, small on the neck or anckles or nice cabalistic on the arm, anckle or on the back... any nice worked tattoo is an attractive detail that give a woman sensuality that is like eternal jewel.

I look at clothes I loved a few years ago and hate them now. People constantly change. I never understood why someone would want to permanently mark themselves. I had an uncle who go a big tattoo on his arm when he was young and always regretted it.

While I think some tatoo's are striking... and bold... and sexy.... must admit.. that I -- would hesitate about anything so permanent. I think the sexiest thing about anyone -- male or female -- is their "constantly changing" self. I'm not at all the same man I was 20 years ago .. my tastes, desires, values, etc. etc. have changed as a part of life....Such is what I'd find attractive in a friend or partner. To have something become SO permanent -- to me would be like having to wear the same clothing, haircut, or eyeglasses -- through all the remaining changes in my life .... UGH!!.... But .. most importantly -- is for you to do .. what YOU feel is right for you --- regardless of what is trendy at the time.

I like small tatoos on the shoulder or boob, but not large whole arm types.
Yours sounds cool and it's good to have one with a personal meaning to you.

Tats on woman are a great turn-on to alot of guys, especially if the guys doesn't know they are there and uncovers them as he removes her clothes. Its just another private part of herself she is willing to share with only a chosen few. Luv em!

It doesnt bother me at all. Placement is everything though, and it seems that you already have that figured out. I especially like it when a woman has a tatoo in the small of her back, just above her but, VERY sexy!
I've been thinking about getting one also, but its a tough decision! I'm leaning towards a celtic cross or the family crest to honor my father and my Scottish Heritage. What do you think, do you find tatoos attractive on men, would you fallow me into a dark alley?! lol

I believe that if anyone is going to get a tattoo - get one that means something to you rather then just getting on for the sake of it or being 'trendy'.(just think of how many people out there are stuck with 'Taz' tattoos!) As well make sure that it is a custom one - so that no one around will have the exact same thing that adorns your birthday suit...good luck with it!

Tatoos are fine on both men and women it is simply a matter of them being appropriately placed. and a matter of how tasteful the content is

I recently spent a wonderful afternoon with a young lady I meet on AdultFriendFinder and when we were undressed she turned around and I saw this wonderful, colorful tattoo in the small of her back. I always thought I did not like tattoos but I must admit is was a turn on for me.

If they are well done and not something you would not want your grandchildren to see then go for it. I have seen men with tattoos that were wild. Once I saw one of a man that had the devils head tattooed on his stomach with its mouth open and his penis sticking out like its tongue.

A few years ago I saw some pictures of a girl that had been body painted with cut off jeans and a halter top walking around the streets with people walking by and not knowing she was naked with only paint on. This gave me the idea that I could have short paints tattooed on me and then I could do the same but my girlfriend told me someone would notice as strings hanging down are not that large.

I have two, and agree that you must only get one that means something to you, deeply. I have one I regret and one I do not. Unfortunately, the one I regret is easily visible.

Tattoos are sexy girl! Go on and hook yourself up with one or more. Artful expression on your body is an extension of your soul. BUT, please see a good artist...there's nothing worse than a tattoo that you hate being on you forever. Good placement is also a key factor. A sexy tattoo in the right spot always makes my mouth water. Many a women have enjoyed kissing the tattoos on my chest....among other places.

It sounds like a gorgeous tattoo. As for acceptability, here around Seattle, I think the majority of people under 30 have at tats. And it seem more women than men are getting them, but that might just be who I'm noticing Personally, I don't find them a negative unless the artwork it self is negative.

I've never had one myself for two reasons only. One, my personality and interests have been changing all my life and didn't want something permanent. Two, I like the feeling of being nude and not sure I'd really feel completely naked if I had a tattoo.

When I was your age I thought it was stupid to get tattoos. I never understood why someone would want to permanently mark themselves with one of those stupid pictures. Then at age 44 I found myself at a parlor getting a tattoo! Tattoos are an expression of who you are. Since people constantly change a tattoo should be about a part of you that you know will never change.

I have known several people who have tattoos and now regretted having got them. Some wish they could remove them and others use the tattoo as a reminder of the mistakes they made in their youth.

That said, I feel tattoos are fine on both men and women. It is simply a matter of them being appropriate for the person, appropriately placed and how tasteful the content is. I agree that you should only get a tattoo that means something to you. A friend recently got a very nice self designed tattoo that represents her two sons and how she almost lost both of them in a car crash. I know she will never be sorry she got it.

My tattoo is a modified “STAR OF LIFE” and represents my over 20 years as an EMT. I’m not artful enough to design my own. But I showed the tattoo artist some pictures and gave her a general idea of what I wanted. She then designed a very nice tattoo that met all of my desires. Although I probably will eventually quit EMS some time in the future. My tattoo will always represent a very big part of my life and I will never be ashamed or sorry that I got it. Take a look at my profile or my blog posted on July 15 to see it.

Please post a picture of your tattoo after you get it so all your faithful fans can see it.

Very interesting blog and I’ve enjoyed reading the comments. Personally, I really don’t get the whole tattoo craze (but then again I am over 40). I know they are popular and trendy but is that a good reason to permanently mark your body? As an example, I do not understand women who at age 20 get a big tattoo on their lower back. At age 40 or 50 what will that tattoo look like and how will it reflect on the life you would then lead? Wont that beautiful butterfly turn into a Salvador Dali painting?
There is nothing wrong with tattooing but I find it far more sexy and alluring to find a subtle, small tattoo hidden somewhere fun than to see some big piece of art on one’s chest, arm, back or leg.
I have a friend that lost her daughter several years ago, she has tattooed her name on her ankle… now that makes sense to me. If you are going to permanently mark your body, do it with something that will have meaning throughout your life.
That is just this man’s opinion.

Hey now, I know some "biker chicks" I'd love to meet in a dark alley, and I'm speaking from experience; (and I refer to "real biker types",I have been riding and building HD's since long before they catered to suit and tie guys playing dress-up on weekends!lol).....
As for the Tattoo, yeah, it's trendy right now,but..take a look at a 20 year old tattoo and ask yourself how that will look on you when you are 47....Some artwork does NOT become better with age...but you have to decide...and would you even be thinking about 1 if it wasn't a trend / current pop culture? My guess is no. If runes are in mind, why not create a piece of jewelry that incorporates your design? That would become more valued and valuable with age as well as an heirloom to pass on to someone close ,keeping a bit of your legacy intact and remembered? (Wow,can't believe I said all that..)

ps My friend (an attorney, go figure) did the temp. tattoos on Cher for the movie "Mask"....he also does booths at state fairs, bike ralleys,Ozzfest/ type venues etc. It shouldn't be hard to find one,and they last for a week or longer depending on care...good luck

I feel that as long as the tattoo has a special meaning to you and you have thought it through long and hard you should go ahead and do it. With being a pagan myself, having a tattoo of a goddess strikes a sweet chord with me, so kudos for that one (post a pic once it's healed up ). As for my experience with tattoos, I have 3 currently. One is a half-sleeve/chest (30 hours total...ouch. lol) that I am very happy with. Another on my calf I did myself, so fairly happy with it. Last one I do regret though is on my side (not only do I regret it, it REALLY wasn't worth the pain I went through having it there =/ ). Just make sure that it is something that you really want to get and that you go to a reputable artist (ask to see pictures of previous work also before you have him/her touch needle to skin. Most reputable artists will have a portfolio of their work available to browse).

Tattoos are sexy on a woman!!!! Anywhere!

rm_woodeye29 66M

Heard a good one the other day that scars are just tattoo's with a better story, but I guess thats another issue.

I have numerous tattoo's, some done by myself (which I regret) when I was about 15 years old. The two that tell a story are "Woody Woodpecker" on my upper left arm. Because everyone made fun of my little "pecker" I got a second one of a nine inch "Woody" (Toystory) on my right calf.

On a woman I think it is a personal choice. Both my daughters have tattoo's, but all of them are small and easily disguised with clothing. They both wanted to get them when they were teenagers, but I refused to allow them to while I was in charge. The first ones they got I paid for when they were 19 years old.

There is no reason why women shouldn't have them, but the tattoos that turn me off on women, are the large extravagant ones.

I say go for it if the design has meaning close to your heart than it will a nice accent to your incredible body. Just make sure you find a good artist. I think woman with tattoos are sexy if done in a nice cute way. I am also thinking about getting one and have a design in mind. My only problem is deciding where it would look best on my body. Good luck and let me know how it goes.
