ok I get to get involved in my first blog-cliche/fad

I got this cute poem idea from over on [blog freelove999]'s blog whom got it from eriedragon4, which apparently came from sweetneeds2 ... well i thought it was fun to try:

1
Not the type of woman everyones lookin for
Ivolved too deep in the art to surface
Capturing that which most want to film
Except only armed with music at hand

Targeted at times by those who are scared

Gives the same biggots a run for the money
Independant to cover up a secret desire
Ready to explode trying to hide it inside
Living a life without trying to die
2
try

how would you describe what style your music has? i can't think of one popular transsexual music artist, let alone artist in general, so you not only have the difficulty of being independent and not selling out with the music industry, but if you ever overcome that miniature barrier in comparison to the real issue, you still have to face the ugly chauvenistic world that doesn't want to see a transgendered person celebrated. my heart goes out to you, and i'd say good luck if it weren't bad luck to do so. instead, i'll just say break a leg, friend. props to you for doing you. peaces.

in fact, the closest thing i can come to naming successful music artists who weren't you're average heterosexual male vocalist are two obvious names: marylin manson & hedwig and the angry inch. so there is hope! lol

capwun's right, you have some barriers to break but hey, with help anything is possible.

aaaah, but you challange me you say? ive got a handful of artists who may not have lived the exact life that someone such as myself would perfer but if you think off the top of your head weve had plenty of crossdressing celebrities

---ru paul...
---david bowie - had that very talented pubicity stunt of releasing ---old videos of him doin drag shows before he was big...
---queen - apeared in a music video and in album art all of them in ---drag
---tracy almond - did dragking skits all the time on tv
---blind mellon - performed in a dress at woodstock 94
---boy george- wore more makeup then i do
---johnathan davis of korn was known for wearing a kilt in a way not to show scottish pride but as a fuckyou to the kids that called him a faggot back when he was in school...
---then from here in my town i can think of 2 big names in drag and that's frank marino and kenny kurr, although unless you know vegas entertainment and some of the consistant shows you prolly wouldnt know who those people are...
---let's see, there is alice cooper.
---twisted sister and a couple other 80's rockers...

enough artists have used gender as a attn getter already that the idea of a transgendered person breaking into at least the underground side of things isnt quite as unrealistic as it was especialy cause right now the kids got all kinds of mixed up gender definers boys wearing eyeliner and girls picking fights in bars just to show off for the crowd.... etc... and in the unsigned/indie rock scene there seems to be this "i almoast want to make a bold statement with gender" and 3 peice bands with all boys are calling theirselves "stupid chick" or whatever just to give an example. then agian i may be wrong and perhaps these are them establishing their limits at which point i will more likely then not carry on with various ducks and bobs or whatever it is (when they fake out the defensive opponenet in football) eventualy giveing up as little as i can to as much as i have to... as long as i stay between there i can usualy keep myself feeling less like perhaps this is simply a reincarnation ive karma-ed myself into in a past life in which case we could always just rename it, hell with a broken thermostat set at just too hott to handle but never burt by the fire ha ha ha ha

btw, thanx for the nice words capwun.

and i dont know about help gozz, it seems the true test of an artist that makes solo-artists of any kind so rare is the lonelyness of taking totaly accountablity for the quality and sucess of your music ** sigh ** then again when i first started i kept tellin myself i wanted to do everythin the hard way now i kinda wish i said i wanna do everything the puzzling but acheivable way... cause if i got that wish ooooh boy id be exploding like mad

and to free, dont worry I dont think either of them mean their comments as putting me down for who i am as much as expressing their understanding that i have alot of forks in my road they are both good enough guys or from what ive seen on their blogs ** stops pretending to be established like i have a clue who is what yet and giggles **

Liked the poem sis.... As for what capwun said, and your comment to that, its not easy for anyone to break through all the barriers the industry has erected to control things. And to some extent being ts makes it that much harder, but it can be done. Just be true to yourself and things hopefully work out in the end.

Hugs,
Jackie
