Stop That, and Put That Away . . .

Once, when I was a kid, I took a softball and glued nails to it with the points facing out. I attached it to a rope and then a stick and swung it around like the old Scandinavian Vikings did in battle. My mom yelled at me and said we’d have to take all the neighbors in for tetanus shots so stop it and put that away so I wrapped it around the mailbox and threw apples at it and watched the apples stick to the nails.

I just had to say I laughed at this... Yes kids will be kids. One event after another...
And I like the way you still enjoyed it after you were told to "put that away" LOL

Ha ha! Reminds me of the time I found a can of red spray paint and walked all over the neighborhood spraying stuff. Trees, cars, buildings, sidewalks. You name it, I sprayed it. Man, did I get my ass beat for that one!

I really have no idea why I shared this silly little story with all of you. Sometimes I get in really strange moods and it's starting to come out in my blogs. I think my point here was not to ever let anyone stifle your creativity. Be creative and work with what you have, even if it's a can of red paint (BenefitsFriend69).

My mom used to yell at me for real similar stuff, and with the same kind of practical reasons as to why I shouldn't do them.
