Life - Take 35

My life has been an interesting piece so far. We always say "If I could do that over, I wouldn't have said/done it the way I did." Oh, the things I thought I regretted . . .
-like losing my cookies in Joe's back yard as he held my hair back. What a guy!
-dating a VERY young man, just for fun.
-waking up next to some hottie, wondering who he was.
-not returning a phone call to the nice guy who I thought deserved better than me.
-the sex, drugs and rock-n-roll I vaguely remember back in college.
But then I think about all the movies I see and my favorite part of the DVD's are the bloopers and deleted scenes! How boring our lives would be without the out-take gag reels. I couldn't redo the special effects if I tried and I wouldn't want the choice of a different ending. Sometimes I just have to look back as I hit my mental rewind and just laugh!

Thanks, storm. Yes, it is my pic, and an updated one . . . I am for real. Good luck to you as you now live your life. Sounds like you're on a new journey.

You've gotta have the lows to appreciate the highs.

Without having somethings to regret from the past, would you learn and grow? And having grown, be able to laugh at yourself?

And what have you done lately that's completely new and different?
Any new sports? Areas of fine arts that you're now exploring that you ignored in the past? Creative outlets? (the blog of course)

I remember at 35, deciding that it was the last year I would consider jumping out of an airplane, (due to orthopedics exposure, where I learned how tough it can be for bones to heal after that), but then at 49 taking up skiing.

Here's to being able to laugh at the past more than regretting it.

Contemplation seems to be the theme these days. That is all I'm thinking about right now. Yet I feel like I'm starting anew. Everyday is a blank slate. Every month a new wash.

I couldn't agree with you more on this one. I have really enjoyed reading your posts (and thoughts). Keep up the good work.

BTW - Anyone tell you that you are beautiful today? If not, I just did.
