I'd just like to add that Cronenberg's latest
film 'A History of Violence' (2005) again studies
the relationship between violence and sexuality. The
contrast between the film's two sex scenes is of great
importance to Cronenberg's illustration of the 'history
of violence' in question.


I was very disappointed that it didn't get a best picture
nod at the oscars this year.

I have yet to see a Cronenberg film that didn't disturb
me on some level. They do open your mind to the darker side
of sexuality and our impulses and make you think though.
