The LIFE of CHIVALRY

It’s a hard thing to let a
stranger into your life. They befriend you, there is an
attraction, you start to date, it might starts to get serious,
and that’s when it happened. It hits you in the face like a winter smack from an ice ball.
The comfort zone has set in and being courteous and having
any consideration are a non-factor now. Failure at its
highest degree. Do you know why you see a couple in their
90s still holding hands? I’ll tell you. Because she still
washes his cloths and makes his dinner after a day of him
in the yard making her dream of a paradise always a work in
motion and the reality in her eyes. He still holds the door
for her as she walks in first, he holds her hand while they
walk and always puts his body between the road and her, and
never lets her carry any heavy lifting. He mans up and she
takes care of him. It’s called “Chivalry” and it’s a CODE of conduct.
For those who think it’s only for men, I would say that
you are sadly mistaken and confused. Do you really think
she wants to wash his dirty stinking cloths? NO! She does
it because she loves him and it’s a TEAM effort. Do you
really think he wants to spend his days manually working
out back on his days off or retirement? NO! He does it because
he loves her. They talk to each other, never keep secrets,
and never ever lie, cheat or steal from one another. It would be so perfect if the so called modern day human could
or even would make an effort to understand this basic concept
of life and relationships. All the same the modern day creature
comforts seem the get in the way. It seems the next new bright
and shiny thing is always getting in the way. New phones,
new TVs, new apps, and yes new websites to find that other
to do to you what the one your with has no clue what you want
or need due to lack of any meaningful communication. Years ago they didn’t toss anything away that was a little
broken, they fixed it. A crack, a bruise, even missing parts.
They fixed it. Not today or in the future. So many are always
out looking for the next BBD {Bigger and Better Deal}. Yet
it’s your eyes, stomach and hunger that are getting in
the way of your life. If you don’t change it you will never
feel full. You can call that “Emotional Obesity”.
Your life is full but your heart feels empty, you hunger
for the next. That’s’ the lie and that’s the trap,
that’s the life you are wasting.
