Surrender

My last post caused quite a stir. It took me a while to respond, I do have a life. When I finally got around to answering your questions, I was surprised that know one came back to pick my brain. I hope I brought you clarity.

This is a long read, sit back grab a glass of wine and read on.

The word surrender means many things to many people. In my world, it simply means surrending the body, mind and spirit. It also means surrendering that all might EGO.

My writing is based upon what goes on in my life, no fictional writing here. I read a lot, I ask lots of questions. I find myself in some the most interesting places all the time, and it could be my very own back yard. But it's different everyday, because I'm different everyday and so are you.

Are you still with me on this?

Life is a gift and meant to be lived. With the blink of an eye everything changes, nothing ever remains the same, if it did we would be very, very bored.

What have you done in your life today to make this world a better for you and your family? What kind of changes are you making for the your environment? Going organic, trying raw foods or giving up meat? Have you tried free range chickens and eggs? Are you aware of the treatement of live stock in this country. Even my 9 year old has given up meat.

Please support the independent merchant and local growers of organic produce, stop shopping at Walmart!

Are you learning ways to reclyce and reuse? What about limiting your consummerism. Have you noticed how more and more storgage companies are opening up? We buy too much because we think we need more and it ends up in your closet then in the storage unit. If we keep this up, we'll run out of space on this planet we call earth.

Americans are wasteful consummers.

My intentions are always to enlighten, that's what I do for a living. My job takes me every where. I travel all over the place to teach. I have students with varies back grounds and ages. I teach children as young as 6 and adults nearing 80. My students are DR.'s, lawyers, educators, trust fund hippies. Artist, writers, actors, people in the film industry. They all come to see me to learn and grow with an open mind and heart. I share my back ground in Eastern philosophy and how it applies to everyday life. I'm making a difference in the lives of others every single day which in turn will make our planet and our country a better place for everyone.

If you are seeking change you are the change. This is not my ego talking here, I've learned to surrender that a long time ago.

Sex to me and my community is considered to be the highest art form. I pissed off some woman because she couldn't understand what I was saying. I brought her clarity to my statements and I still don't think she understands. My heart is open to her.

Surrendering into sex is not easy, it takes trust and communication, friendship and love. Most casual encounters do not posses any of these qualites. It's all about fucking and getting off. People are very hateful, very self centered and out to use and get what they can out of others.

Have you ever had out of this world, mind blowing sex where your bodies blended into one? I think most of us have experinced this at one time. You'll find this mainly in monogamist type relationships.

But in the casual sense you know friends with Benifits or fuck buddies - I do not like either of those terms. Do you remember how once you and your... fuck buddy finished having sex you couldn't even hold hands or let alone talk to each other?

This makes me sad that we are so closed in our hearts and blinded by what we do not understand. I make sure to chose my partners wisely they must be able to express that "L" word often.

There is not enough love in this world period.

Being open and free leaves you vunerable like a child and you're very likely to get hurt. It's happened to me serveral times in seeking a secondary partner. But being open in your heart and mind is where the greatest growth and healing occurrs. Being able to take a chance, to step and to try something new keeps life fresh.

My approach to sex is based on the tantric path. Where sex and love are taken to a higher ground. Sex spells LOVE where the mind and body take on a spiritual ascendence which makes for out of this world sex. Even if the love is fleeting and temporary, it opens the path to the heart and we communication and love much more openly.

This is were I am different then most people here on AdultFriendFinder. I've had many conversations on this site on tantric sex and love with those who understand. There is only a very small handful in this community.

I cast no judgments friends. Like you, I simply desire to live a colorful rich life full of love.

Peace everyone.

John Lennon said it best in "Strawberry Fields".

Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.

It's getting hard to be someone but it all works out, it doesn't matter much to me.

No one I think is in my tree, I mean it must be high or low.

That is you can't you know tune in but it's all right, that is I think it's not too bad.

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields.

Nothing is real and nothing to get hungabout.
Strawberry Fields forever.

Hi, yogagrrl. I guess I admire those, who are truly able to open themselves up so completely and so honestly. This must be the essence of true freedom. Freedom to love unconditionally, freedom from judgment and freedom to live. A so very articulate and thoughtful post. Nicely done.

I sense those layers that are holding you back Frank from being free are starting to peel back revealing the beauty that is within you.

This is such a wonderful post. It brings a tear to my eye. So many of the things you have stated here I try to project to the people I know. Some get it others don't. At times I just have to remember to breathe.

I also must reminder myself as you have reminded me today, to be humble and empathetic to those who do not understand. Sometimes, I may come off as condescending or righteous which is not the case.

yogagrrl...
That was a very good piece, as you speak from your heart, and convey your views clearly and well. *smiling*

I wish I could take the credit for that line. It was actually MAHATMA GANDHI.

Thank you, glad that I didn't piss anyone off this time with this post.

Love and light!

What a beautiful post. The more I learn about the poly choice the more it seems to me to be the "natural" choice that people would have arrived at if not manipulated by religion and politics. From what others have shared about their lives when these relationships work they are profound.

Hey, don't worry about what other people think, Lorna. Not every single person will like everything that you write. So, write about what you like. When you do that, a lot of others will continue to like it, too. *smiling warmly*

Eclecticsoul4u - love your handle!

My partner met up with an interesting couple a few weeks ago at musical festival in the Sierra's. This woman is living with her lover in SF and her husband lives down in LA. This woman was not looking for another lover at that time and never thought about it. She had no idea what poly was. But when her husband introduced to her his work associate they basically feel in love and are still in love. They shared threesomes and everyone seems to be very happy. I'm still uncertain about all the details and why she is not with her husband in LA but is buying a condo in SF with her lover.

I'm glad it's working for everyone, nice life if I do say so. Norcal, Socal... the best of both worlds in California.

There is NOTHING like living in California, I spend as many weekends as I can afford in San Diego and look forward to setting up a second residence there.
