The perfect woman...

Its probably a very blokey thing but you often hear the joke about the perfect woman being 3 foot high, flat head to rest the bear, false teeth that come be removed and loves to cook, clean and iron.

Whilst this may be interesting for about 25 seconds, unfortunately I have created a "rod for my own back" and like someone smart, intellectually stimulating and someone that can generate a fiesty debate on almost anything. So hard to find really.

What started this train of thought? I was considering venturing to the "Boxing Day Test" (Cricket Match) and was wondering who to ask or take along. I started then thinking about who I would enjoy spending 8 hours with lazing in the sun, watching the cricket and "chewing the fat" on almost any range of topics. A thin list of females and a large list of mates!

And almost on the same topic...sports! I love sports of all kinds. Much prefer participating and love to try lots of adrenalin activities. But I'll also watch almost anything from darts in a London pub with "180 king" Jocky Wilson through to V8 Supercars, Aussie rules football, American Football (love it), rugby, billiards and even watch in almost astonishment the strangest sport of all..."curling". A strange game a little like lawn bowls where you skid a big kettle down the ice with another person (the sweeper) doing something that looks obsessive smoothing the ice with a broom at a rate of knots that is staggering.

Ok...back to the topic....is there any female out there that enjoy watching and playing sports? Should I be retarding my sports enjoyment and maybe focussing on needle point and cross stitch? Is that why I struggle to find "nice people" to hook up with?

...back to the sports...much less depressing a topic (hehehehe)...has any seen "hurling" (not curling)? I think its an Irish game played with a cricket ball, hockey sticks and on a soccer pitch with some rules like Aussie rules football and others like rugby. A weird game indeed. But the most memorable of all (which is now understandably banned) was "midget topssing". Although I read a story in the US of a midget objecting to the ban claiming the restriction on the sport is a restriction on his trade and he wants to be tossed because the money is good.

Sorry....I am rambling. But arent there some strange sports out there?

Pick me, pick me!!! I am the only female I know that loves sports more than most men.

I actuallt posted on this a while ago, think It was called "why I have so many male friends"..might have been just before your time here.

Read it and then you'll know why you and I should be drinking beers at the MCG on Boxing Day!!

Frangi xx

PS Do you know I have always thought about taking up Curling so that I could be an Olympian..thing "Cool Runnings"!!

Cool Runnings was a great movie but that was about bobsledding with a Carribean team or something. You have me inspired now to run off to your old blogs and search for that validation that at least one femqale does exist that has the same appetite for sports. I just need to work out how to get you to Melb.

Wombat,

Yes it was about bobsledding but I figured If I was going to be an Olympian I'd have to choose a sport that wasnt really big in Australia, thus my idea of Curling!

Get me to Melbourne...you were in Sydney and you didnt even say hi!!

I have plenty of frequent flyer points..got to use them at some stage..

If you two do hook up for the Boxing Day Test then please give me a bell as well so I can get to meet you both face to face for a cuppa.
Serious, I would like to meet some fellow bloggers.
As for Curling, Frangi has clued in on a smart way to become an Olympian. Consider this; It is a barely known sport in Australia, therefore few participants to compete against for a spot on the team, and probably even fewer women take up the sport. You dont need to be Super Fit to compete, so no arduous training program and no real risk of a sports injury robing you of a place on the team.
Brilliant.
Now to find me an Ice Rink that still exists and has ice time for Curling.

PS Wombat could you message me please so we can chat.

oi wombat - take me - take me - take me.

I hate sports and think that they are boring. But for 6 hours I can chat and to be sitting next to someone with your eyes i am sure i could tolerate the cricket match. that is a dumb sport.

and you'd only have to shout a cheap dinner and a few drinks- what more could you want?

Ok...its official. The Australian Womans Curling team is located here http://AdultFriendFinder.com

There are 5 very pretty Aussie woman that competed in the 2005 Pacific Curling Championships in Taipei and came last out of six countries competing.

The men however took GOLD away from Japan and defeated them 6-3. So that prooves it...Australians can dominate in any sport, anywhere, in any conditions. We are a sporting nation...just not the woman (sorry Frangi; not most of the woman).

Sorry folk... "Big Brother" of AdultFriendFinder removed the actual URL for the team which makes it look like I am iplying that the team is located on AdultFriendFinder. But trust me...there is a real female team and the real URL was removed by "Big Bro". That level of editting by AMM is appauling and akin to the control of media in dictatorships. Sure, if its inflamatory, competitive to AdultFriendFinder or inappropriate then sure...edit the URL but to do it on a blanket basis....SHAMEFUL.

Crystal...interetsing offer but if you dont like cricket it simply wouldnt be a fun day.

Mustang...we will need to conduct EXTENSIVE interviews over many many many months.
