Drink the Fat

I was watching an old episode of Friends the other day, The One Where No One's Ready.

Rachel and Ross had an argument. Ross apologized but Rachel didn't believe him. Ross said he would do anything to make it better so she would go with him to an important function. At Joey's suggestion, Rachel told him if he drank a glass of chicken fat, then she would go.

Ross said if drinking a glass of fat is what it took to get her to believe he was really sorry, he would do it. So, he picks up the glass and starts to drink. Rachel stops him as he raises the glass to his lips. She said she didn't think he would really drink it and he answers that of course he would have. They kissed and made up. She went with him to the function.

It got me to thinking...what foolish thing have you done to prove you care for someone?

I once sang to a man in the middle of the mall. Fortunately for us both, I can carry a tune. It embarrassed us both a bit, but he was impressed that I did it and showed me later how much he appreciated it.

If you had someone in your life that meant so much to you that you would do anything to make him/her believe it, what would that "something" be?

Would you drink the fat?

Sigh, I love the Taj Mahal, I am going to look up more about the woman it was built for. Yes, I would.

I haven't been able to find much written about her but would be interested in what you find out.

Would you believe that I have never watched a single episode of 'Friends' ? I got a tattoo once to show someone how much I loved them. BIG MISTAKE! {=}

Yes I would.
It wasn't foolish, but when the man I loved called me in tears one night, saying that he needed me, I was on a plane across the country within a few hours. Dropped everything to get there.

I came here from wahine's blog ......I read some of your posts. Wow all this wit and Irish too....I know from personal experience that this is a potent combination. WE have been together since......well when we got together Democrats were still thought of as upstarts. She has never asked me to drink the fat...........but I would.

For the right person, I'd drink the fat.

And then I'd throw up, but that's a whole other thing.

Yeah, I'm still [blog 1hotwahine]

I've done the emotional equivalent thereof, but I would hate to compare my life to a 'Friends' episode (a 'Star Trek' episode maybe, lol) Just stopping by and wanted to say hello and nice blog, so... hello

Cheers, (now there is a classic show)
C.

Drinking a glass of chicken fat in not that much differant from eatting 3-4 pieces of KFC Crispy Chicken...and I like KFC. So yes, I would drink a glass of chicken fat.

I suppose that the Original Fool For Love would have no difficulty answering this question. But of course I would. There's nothing I would not do if required.

But have I done anything like that before? Oh, my. I am the Johnny Knoxville of love, it seems!
