sunshine on my shoulders.........

i got home from work a bit early - i took a quick shower and then slipped down and pulled a chair into the patch of sun still lingering in my back yard.

as my hair dried, i listened to the birds, smelled the bbqs from neighbors' yards and just sat.

when the sun sank a bit lower, i slid my fingers through my hair - silken from the soft heat.

it was such a better way to dry my hair than a noisy machine.

small moments give profound pleasure - smiles

You cannot conceive the many without the one.

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high

If I had a day that I could give you
Id give to you a day just like today
If I had a song that I could sing for you
Id sing a song to make you feel this way

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high

If I had a tale that I could tell you
Id tell a tale sure to make you smile
If I had a wish that I could wish for you
Id make a wish for sunshine all the while

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high
Sunshine almost all the time makes me high
Sunshine almost always

Simplicity rules. Getting hair dry can be as much fun as getting it wet ... hum... shampoo and rinse, please

warm huggies 2ya Sis, glad you enjoyed your private time

I have developed a true love of being out side this summer from working out in the heat. I was becoming WAY too much of a spoiled city girl for a while there. Small things like drying your hair in the sun soon become big things, like learning to love nature again when you hadn't taken the time to really look at it in years! Made me smile!! -B

It's good to step back and take those little breaks, isn't it? Sort of brings some perspective. My own lingering patch of sun comes in the form of a nifty little fire pit in my back yard, at the edge of the woods. Two or three times a week. Sometimes the family comes out to join me, but mostly it's just me, hangin' out, kickin' back, and occasionally feeding the fire with some fallen tree limbs I find out in the woods. Cool post, WE.

I like to sit on my front porch swing in the early morning hours and watch the people passing by. Quiet moments like that and the one you had are great ways to start the day!

Would you settle for four and a half Hail Marys and one Bloody Mary? If you must keep groaning, please try to do it in a rhythm I can dance the boneless chicken to.

who do i think your foreplay must be extraordinary?

Reminds me of sitting on top of the hill waiting for the sea breeze to ease so I can fly. I've waited over two hours before, relaxing with beautiful views of the countryside, and valuing every moment for its lack of rush, its gentlest of paces.......

Why does it so often take a genius to see the obvious? Of course you can sometimes get a great reputation for wisdom just by telling people what they already know. I don't insist on total happiness all at once ... I'll agree to accept it in regular installments.

wickedeasy replies on 7/22/2006 12:30 pm:
because no one else bothers to look

and happiness on the installment plan sounds....dirty

Apart from the inevitable, the probable, the possible, and the dirty, there's very little left I'm afraid.

Now that’s a novel idea. If I can't remember anything about it, the chances are I had a very good time. Ostensibly I can do anything I decide ... one thing I can't do is make decisions … or remember any kinks involving jello.

It's been said that women can do anything men can do, but often have more sense than even to be interested. Perhaps what binds us most strongly together is our tendency to mutually embrace some seemingly reconcillable conflicts.
