something in the way she moves.....

this morning on my early limp, i happened across a group at the local playground - doing taichi as the sun rose

i sat on the damp grass to watch and as i did i began to hear a low thrumming. the combined chi gathering and growing.

i was drawn to watch this one woman, and soon i could see nothing else. her carriage was perfect and her arms flowed slowly, beautifully, inexorably through the motions - a dance of awakening and deep sensuality - so profoundly erotic

as her head tipped to one side and her hips slowly moved through into balance, i felt a quickening in my body, a connection to this woman and at that very moment her eyes opened and she looked into mine

as she moved to hold the air in her perfectly poised hands, my breath caught and she broke kata and moved her hands, shaping the air, and then hands cupping, held it out to me, a slow smile crossing her lips.

i stood and bowed, accepting this gift and
feeling my body, alive in every cell, my chi moving down into my belly

a goddess, she inclined her head and moved back into sword form, each movement a work of art

as i walked on, feeling the first rays of the sun on my head, i looked back over my shoulder and this glorious woman was at "embrace the moon" only two moves from completion

i watched her finish. and as she did, she turned and saw me, smiled and waved

i waved back and offered another bow which she returned and then she did the loveliest thing -
she raised her arms over her head and her face to the sun and twirled

i laughed out loud and she looked at me and grinned broadly

did i mention she was probably about 75-80? but oh my, something in the way she moved.........

You cannot conceive the many without the one.

No one appreciates life as much as the elderly. For them each day is a gift.
