liar, liar, pants on fire

i wrote a blog on lying and i received such thoughtful and provocative comments - i had to follow up.

meerkittykat gave examples of lying for survival that just rocked me back on my heels.
colcouple4f00 made the point that lying is a learned behavior. shannee reminded me that sometimes a lie is a kinder, gentler way to remove oneself form a difficult situation.

anabella well i just like to argue with her - grins - but her point was perception and intent.

all this to say - we're all liars to some degree or another. MOfunNOWOW said Billy Graham tried to consciously not lie and found it impossible to keep it under three for the day.

we all lie - we are all bigoted - BUT we are all trying

good for us

thank you all for commenting - i know i answer in the section for it - but this demanded more

and that's no lie

You cannot conceive the many without the one.

I haven't lied today so far and it's noon time...but then I haven't answered the phone, nor had any conversations with people looking for anythng from me either....and those I've had conversations with can take no for an answer and they can see me coming when I'm not in the there ya go. The secret to honesty is to hang out with totally safe secure people. LOL! Like that can happen every day. LOL!

Yup...this juiciness is from me....

I always wonder if we can even tell ourselves the trust. When I was growing up my father used to call me Walter Middy, from the Adventures of Walter Middy. I don't know if I was lying to myself or living in a world I liked better.

I tend to be more honest than most and at times that causes tons of pain for me and for others. I'm also not sure whether we lie or withhold information, which is worst.

i remember Walter Mitty -

perhaps there is a difference however subjective between dreaming and lying

and then it does go back to what ana said about perception and intent

There is a well respected theory that humans evolved an intelligent and reasoning brain through the necessity of lying for survival.

Now I've been pimped out do I have to become a bit classier, or can I stay the common blog whore I always have been? Please advise ....

Oh ....... and where do I look?

warm xx

To be perfectly honest I sometimes find it difficult to be perfectly honest.

The fewer lies you tell, the more chance there is of being believed when you tell one. Or have I not somehow have already have said that?
