Who's looking after you? REPOST

I've come to realize that most of the people I depended on in the last couple of years would sell me up the river given half a chance.

I was walking down the street today after a short day at work and it dawned on me how few people deserve trust. My guy friends are too involved in administering chemicals to themselves to really care about someone else. The women I know are emotional cripples. I can't even begin to analyze them here, they're too complicated and weird to even get into my elementary theories about them.

So after careful consideration I've come to the conclusion that I'm the only one looking out for me. It was kinda funny too, I was walking down the street, and this sort of swagger takes over. So there I am, high and mighty, rolling down the street waving off beggars and drunkards and ne'er-do-wells.

I keep saying to myself as I walk, no more crazies, I have enough crazies in my life, I don't need another. But I crave company. So come one, come all, free skittles at the door.

I'm usually the one who looks out for everyone else, and forgets to look out for myself. Being here, actually, is the only thing I've done for JUST MYSELF in as long as I can remember. I'm learning though.

And I know it's not what you mean, with us being however-many-hundreds-of-miles apart, but... I've got your back, sweetness.
