The most charming lady

Across the street from me is a coffee bar that is in the center of the commercial district in my town. Through bay windows one can glimpse on a Saturday night the gyrations of latino women dancing to salsa music. I spied a woman from my appartment window, she looked about 40 or so, sitting alone.

My first instinct was to go and talk to her, for some reason. It took a huge police bust just below my appartment to give me the gumption to go out and check out what was happening. I crossed the street and began chatting with the woman at the outdoor table I'd spied earlier.

She turned out to be a thoroughly charming woman. She was older than I had thought, she said 69 years old. Our conversation went on quite literally for 2 and a half hours. I brought her wine, and would occasionally abscond to my appartment to refill my beer.

If I were forty years older, this is the woman I would want. It was strange, to know that my heart was ready for a woman that my body was not. I've never had that experience before, where I met a woman who I was so immediately entranced with that was so much older. She's 38 years older than me!

We talked of politics and literature, and changing society, we talked about drugs and love and relationships... She was so intriguing that on one of my beer refill runs I actually put my phone number and name on a slip of paper and gave it to her. I told her to call me next time she would like to sit outside and talk.

She mentioned she had four daughters, and eventually one showed up to take her home. She was attractive, in a 30-something kind of way. Women don't age as well as me.

Anyhow I was so impressed with this woman I had to mention it. She was a real class act.

That is beautiful. You can give your heart to her without your body, some people have instant connections that you just can't explain.
