Well, I recently had a date with a very nice young woman. Young is a relative term, but she was 28. She said she liked older men. OK, so there's approx 12 years between us. That's not too bad, or is it? Then why did I feel that there wasn't too much in common? We were totally opposite on a number of topics that we brushed on, but I totally lost her when she started discussing her favorite music. I'm a bit out of touch; still living with 80's music which is my favorite decade. At the end of the evening, I dropped her off and she wanted to get together again soon. That's always a good sign, but still felt uncomfortable.

I called her yesterday and we're planning to get together after work tonight. Why do I feel so uneasy about this? Maybe she isn't right for me, but I've got to get out there and start dating. Jen and I had a great short term fling and I didn't have any reservations about her. I'll have to work it out and see where this goes. Don't judge her on the first date, keep an open mind and ride the wave. Let's see where this goes. More tomorrow.

I hope all went well, I hope the wave was not so big that you could not ride it through.
