Solved at last

Cracked it at last! As always, obvious when you get something to work. lol

Thanks to the PC users who offered advice; this was a Macintosh problem. Had I been working on my PC the file extension would have shown automatically and things would have gone smoothly. On Macs there is no need to show the file extension, the puter knows what sort of file it's working with even if you don't tell it -- so you don't worry about whether extensions are there or not.

Mac users before you upload an image, check if the file extension is showing after the name. If not use the apple key^i command to open the get info window. After kind it says what type of file it is. Then add the file extension to the name of the image, eg: mypicture.jpg, before you start uploading.

I think I'll use that paragraph to start a strand for Mac users on GoddessOfTheDawn's . Pity this last link command doesn't work.

Hi waggypolly! First of all, let me say thanks a lot for your message to me at GoddessOfTheDawn's group, as follows.

[Luv44S - it happens to everyone, the site is inept indiscriminately.]

My computer god is Steve Jobs, not Bill Gates, like you. But unfortunately I am away from my Mac(s) for long time and I am forced to reluctantly stuck with Windows meanwhile, like unhappy arranged-marriage. Thanks again for your Mac lesson that I can fix if I encounter the same Mac problem of you, soon.

Well, Window 95 = Macintosh 89 as everbody knows. Long Live Steve Jobs!
