Grieving the Convention, by an Absentee

I’m having so much trouble getting comments to stick this week. I know other people are having the same experience. For every comment I “think” is sticking I’m having to enter at least three different numbers. And the number of comments I am receiving is plummeting. SO I’ve given up. Tonight I am going to enjoy a glass of vino and sit back and just read … read everything I can find about Chicago … and put my comments to the writers in this one post.

There have been a great many posts extolling the event and thanking GoddessOfTheDawn for her efforts: these weren’t a surprise to read. There are almost as many describing difficulties getting to and from O’Hare airport: these were are surprise! Really what were you’ll up to guys, don’t you have anything sexy to report?

A number of posts give a nice sense of the general flavour for those of us who couldn’t attend. Thank you pussinboots4u for [post 125657], XTheJesterX for The Bloggers' Convention.... and 1hotwahine for Post Post. These provided the sort of scene-setting that I was craving to read.

Now I want to know more! dano6332 hints at goings-on he swore never to reveal in What an incredible weekend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. talldarkavg1’s [post 125133] gives a nice don’t-tell-a-thing account of the photoshoot. pussinboots4u’s [post 126454] takes us into the beginning of one of the afterparties. You are sooo tantalizing, all three of you!

In [post 125853] ExploreMore4Me spills her soul describing how it felt to be involved in the photo shoot. She shows true feelings here; so does GoddessOfTheDawn in her poem, [post 129848]. Another member who shares his deeper feelings is redswallow777 in What was I thinking?. You three are all very brave.

The convention effected some people strongly enough to lead them into new decisions about the future: beewulf9 (Blue Underpants) will wear something different to his next pyjama party! 1hotwahine’s resolutions Geographic Change = New Perspective are much more life-changing. It is amazing how powerful attending and sharing at an event like this can be.

As I read I did try to get some comments to stick but I fear most haven’t. My frustration level is at an all-time high. I’m frustrated with this site …. and I’m even more frustrated I couldn’t meet you all in Chicago. ….. maybe at the next meet.

Having been AWOL from the blogs for a bit I am trying to catch up on the goings on over in Chicago. One thing that is echoed from post to post is that it was a fantastic success and all had a marvelous time.

Considering the caliber of the bloggers here, I would have expected no less.

Polly, your presence there was sorely missed. As for sexy secrets, the only thing secret about my stay in Chicago was the content of some of the text messages I received from my sweetie who could not attend. I owe you an email, I haven't forgotten you... {=}

Thanks Polly... {=}

The second convention will be even better than the first and I really hope you CAN make that one! (Both of you!)
