Pulp Fiction

Zed's dead, baby, Zed's dead.

I just watched Pulp Fiction for the first time. Long and boring as sin, but there were a few good moments hidden in there.

Poor Marvin.

Pulp Fiction is one of those movies that the first time you see it, you sit through it with your mouth hanging open.

The second time, you understand it a little better and can really get into it.

And the third time, you catch all the stuff you missed before

Though I'll admit, I still have to turn my head when they stick the needle in Uma Thurman lol.

Hmmm. I don't know if I sat through it with my mouth hanging open. Parts of it were good and all, and there were sooooo many parts of it that were just wrong, but, meh. I grew up with friends that role-played various pencil and paper games and some of the shiznit we did (in game) made the movie seem kind of tame by comparison.

I mean when you have role played a vampire that got thrown from a car in a horrible accident, played dead to try and prevent a scene, was taken to the hospital in the hopes of being dumped in the morgue, planning to silently escape later, and then going on a fear and bloodlust enduced rampage when the hospital tries to hack him up to illegally harvest his organs...

Heck, a lot of stuff that's come up while playing White Wolf's Vampire: The Masquerade game or Fasa's Shadowrun game makes the movie pretty par for the course.
