Phoenix Rise

In the depths of darkness swell,
a fear unknown that I must quell.
Buried torment deep inside,
of painful past and injured pride.
The fairer sidhe was never fair,
demoness of tooth and nail did flare.
But sorrow like acid eats the soul,
and so needs must it let be go.
Like a phoenix from ashes rise,
leaving the refuse of past behind.
Stretching wings, head toward the sky,
only just now learning how to fly.
But ground is still not so far,
and looking down it seems to hard.
Needs call out and desires distract,
wanting so much and groaning in lack.
Flying alone is so very alone,
but one can only fly as one.
Perhaps one day I'll share the sky;
until then I'll try living high.

Baby steps. It takes time for the pain to heal itself. Take your time and find your true self inside and you will come out a better person. You will get there and you have many great friends to help you along the way, myself included!!!
