How Do You Salt Your Eggs?

So I'm making myself an omelet and three slices of bacon for breakfast because, well, I deserve something yummy today dammit! So anyhow, I'm salting my eggs, and it occurs to me that this is the reason restaurant eggs always taste so bland! Ah ha! So now I wondered, am I weird, or not? How do you salt your eggs?
I add salt right into the raw eggs before cooking them.
I salt the eggs after they've cooked.
Salt eggs? Are you mad? They're perfect just the way they are.
I don't season with salt because it's bad for you.

Vrec, Restaurants do not season things like eggs so that people can season to their own taste. Like your survey some people do not like salty eggs. As for me I prefer less salt and more pepper and grits with my eggs but no body up in this country knows how to serve grits with eggs. Somebody needs to open a good southern style restaurant around here.

Yeah, but you can't salt the eggs after they're cooked. It just doesn't work. Not in my opinion anyway. Because then it's like a salt lick. Yuck. Usually then I have to put syrup on them if they're especially bland.

As for the grits, meh, to each their own. Maybe no one has a good southern style restaurant this far north because there wouldn't be enough customers to support it? Then again, it could also just be no one has thought of it.

you shouldn't salt them before cooking them anyway---esp if yer making omelettes or scrambled eggs--- it makes them rubbery.... eww...

to the guy above? go to frigging Cracker Barrel.. They have grits and they are to die for

Salt makes eggs rubbery?

???

What kind of salt are you using? I can't say that I've ever had that problem. Though I do know that milk makes eggs squishy.

No, I think that's "sow your oats". He he he. Though I suppose "salt your eggs" could work as the female version of that.
