Okay, so totay totally didn't go as planned. I had all sorts of cleaning and work on the house in mind. Honest!

I got up early and did my Saturday Level Grooming like normal. Which is nice to be back on that schedule. Because I haven't been for a little while.

Then I walked to the bank to cash my paycheck and to the post office to get stamps for sending out 13 querry letters. 13 is a good number. I didn't even realise I had 13 to send until I started putting them together to send. A certain friend can tell me of the fortuitous nature beyond my already positive outlook on the number of the moons in a year. So it has a lot of good vibes. I'm also thinking of doing a ritual and sending them off on the morning of the 13th. I already did a full-moon/eclipse ritual for them, but more power to me! Anywho, so I got the stamps. I cashed my cheque.

Then on a whim I walked past a friend's house on the way back. Someone I haven't talked to in what feels like forever. Someone I've missed. But she wasn't home. Oh well.

Then I walked past her cousin's house, who is also a friend I've missed. She was home. So yippee. I reconnected with a friend.

But then it got even better as the first friend needed help moving and stopped by. And before I knew it I was hanging out with two great women and doing ever so fun things like hanging out with dogs (I'm allergic), dumping garbage bins full of stinky soiled cat litter, tromping through a mildewed house and dusty barns (I have allergies to both dust and mildew as well), disposing of smelly rotting dead mice, and entertaining a young fiend of a girl with ADD and then some. Which I hoped helped to keep mommy's sanity. But she's also a fun girl. And then there was lugging around furniture, dumping slug-covered soiled mattresses, etc. And eating at McDonalds, which I haven't done forever, and I guess not having done it in so long has made my body appreciate healthy food more because I ended up getting sick.

Anywho, so, yeah. You'd think it was like the worst day ever. And yet, it was a ball. And I hope I can do it again tomorrow. How weird is that? I dunno. But it's the power of friends.

Friends are people that because you care about them, can turn any experience no matter how horrific (well, within reason I'd imagine) into something to cherish. Friends make the bad good, and the good even better. Friends are awesome!

And as for my chores that I missed, well, at least I got my query letters to literary agents all signed, sealed, and including SASEs. So now I just have the ritual to bless them with on the 13th and I can send them off that morning.

It just goes to show that life is what happens while you make plans. And that friendship is one of the most precious gifts we can have and give.

Thanks. Sometimes I worry that the psych ward is going to come and take me away. So I'm glad to hear someone else can appreciate my insanity at least.

And thanks for hoping that everything works out. I'm soooo going to make getting published happen this time. I'm not going to take no for an answer. But every last wish, every bit of good will, also makes a huge difference. So thank you for that.

All my fingers and toes and whatever else I can get into position is crossed - every best wish for success - anything I can do - just let me know.
