My Favorite Music (Part One)

I have the feeling that this may take several posts. Many of you talk in great detail about your favorite music so I will do the same and agonizing detail.

A few concepts to begin.....

I have been accused of listening to "bubble gum" music. You may see that in my choice of modern music in future posts.

I don't care for any music in 3/4 time (yes Led Zepplin is out! yuck!) If it doesn't move, don't bother putting it on.

I am a sucker for ballads; especially a good power ballad.

I have a good chunk of country music in my collection, but I never considered it country. At the time, it was the same music that I grew up with (Eagles, Doobie Brothers, Dan Fogelberg, Poco and Bob Seger), but radio in the 80s played it on the country side (Restless Heart, Sawyer Brown). During my visit to country music, I developed an insane crush on a lady named Suzy Boggus!

That being are some of my choices for the top classic albums of all time.

Fleetwood Mac-Rumors (I am not much of a Fleetwood Mac fan is just one of the easiest albums to listen to from start to finish)

Bob Seger-Stranger in Town

Hootie & the Blowfish-Cracked Rear View

Wilson Phillips (I know, an odd edition...sometimes it even surprises me)

The Eagles-On the Border

I am sure that there are more and I will mention them in subsequent posts.

Next post...some of my favorite modern artists and songs.

I'm with you on the Fleetwood Mac album, it's probably one of the best bodies of work any band has ever put out, musically speaking.
