I tend to dabble a little in everything. Seldom do I concentrate on anything, yet I have skills in just about everything. I always have goals to improve one skill or another including my role in the EMS. This past winter, I received some addtional emergency medical training. I am not sure how fond I would be of being a kick-ass paramedic (they aren't paid shit anyway considering their value), but the last two days have been an eye openerand frankly brought a smile to my face.
A motorcycle accident two days ago and one of my employees suffered a seizure yesterday. One thing is for sure, I can't forget my skills with this type of chaos around me all the time!

i thought of going for my Industrial First Aid level 3 ticket years ago.. (next level is paramedic) but decided that while having it could boost a paycheck in an industrial job world, i never wanted to have to use the training!! it was another risk i wouldn't take.. but dammit, i would have been good... i excel in emergencies..
and when push comes to shove i jump in anyhow! i am calm and calming..

i need to upgrade my level 1 ticket tho and learn the new technique of CPR..
i still believe every person should learn at least that much.. i believe it should be taught in the schools around the world...it only takes a couple hours to learn basic CPR... a full school day could teach that and rudimentary first aid.. enough to know how to help while waiting for professional help.. 1 day..

it feels good when you are able to help... glad you were there...
