No, not the regular kind of crossdresser, I mean the virtual kind - a "crossdressing" man who pretends he is a woman or a couple, posts an ad on here, usually using pictures of a real woman or couple, and interacts with other members posing as a woman.

My theory is that this kind of guy is either a gay man who likes turning on straight men or a straight man who gets the same kind of erotic charge from pretending to be a woman that a regular crossdresser gets. I also think that these two groups account for the overwhelming majority of the numerous fakes we run into on here.

I have no evidence for either of these theories. I think they just are the simplest way to explain the huge percentage of fakes. Our false positive rate is running around 80%.

Tangent #1: I wonder how many male profiles on here are actually "crossdressing" women. My guess would be very few, but who knows.

Tangent #2: Isn't it funny that nowadays "crossdresser" almost always means a man dressing as a woman? I am aware of the concept of the drag king, but I've never seen one run an ad on here. Maybe this is just not the venue you'd find them on, or maybe there are far fewer than male CDs. It's interesting how feminism made it okay for women to dress in a wide variety of styles, some of which were formerly exclusively male, while leaving the taboo (and thus the potential sexual charge) in place for men.

Interesting thought on fakes on here.I also think there are so many fakes on here because when its time to cross the line between fantasy and reality people don't know what to do.I do know there are alot of men on here that pose as couples who's wives don't play. Sean

My take on the men posing as women or couples is that single men get very little attention on this site and in their own warped little minds they think that they can somehow manage to fool people enough that the'll get some kind of opportunity anyway. I also do agree with the last comment about men who pose as couples but their wives don't play.

Talking is easy, making a move is much more difficult. I've been on here as a single and part of a couple and the rate of talkers to doers is alot higher than 80%

Hello, I am part of the afore mentioned 'fake' men. I started my post as a women as I made a genuine mistake when starting. Since then I have posted a blog and started to write about what I feel dressed up as, or feeling like a woman. At no point (except the aformentioned hidious error when starting my profile) have I stated that I am a woman and have tried to change the sex on my profile to remedy this(I can't work out how - any ideas ?).

My picture is real though and so are my thoughts and experiances. I do love dressing up as a woman and I only wish the taboo you talk about was not so strong. Sometimes I feel like a gay footballer - I just don't exhist !

BUT, I suppose I am a fake as I have also not stated I am a man, until recently. What is interesting is that hjaving stated to some men that i am a man, i still get mail ! After telling them a couple more times they seem to get the drift.

THE REAL FAKERS, are not people just here role playing, or living a dream, but the guys or girls posting 'up for it' profiles, when they are so obviously not. How many times have you heard the phrase 'Lets meet' or 'I'd love to meet up'

This is discouraging. I came on this site to, hopefully, meet an attractive "tgurl" and maybe develop a decent relationship. I'm a straight acting, mature, guy and since I am sexually attracted to beautiful gurls with male genitals, I don't really know if you'd classify me a straight or gay. And I really don't care. I don't like labels. Anyway, I was hoping that most of the gurls here were what they say they are. Maybe I'll still get and meet that "right" someone. I hope so, but this post has gotten me down. I mean, I figured that there were some fakes, but not the majority. Still I appreciate it, because it is something I should have been aware of. Thanks
