Their Destiny

The couple
How they glowed on their day
Dancing gracefully at their reception

The matchmaker
Smiled at what she spun together
Gossiping at the tables
With all the attentive faces

But the years have collected
Feelings worn thin
The closer they drew the
Further they dreamed

Some looked to the matchmaker saying
Lift them up and spin them again

Well done! Nice poem. I imagine that it is timeless as well. Marriage has always been a difficult thing to maintain and requires dedication among other things.
