lust or love

You can often times get so close to someone you lust for that the other "L" word comes into your head.Really though are lust and love so far apart?I guess it depends on the timing, the people involved and of course the situation.

Wierd week. As I sat in the church at a friends wifes funeral (of all places) my friend placed her hand on my thigh. We were alone in the pew.

I started thinking, this can not be a mistake. Now her hand was squeezing my inner thigh and my erection was evident in my dress slacks.

A church?... a funeral?...morbid?...maybe...exciting...obviously

I've often thought of her and now she was here toying with me at the most inopportune moment. I am not a religious person at all, but I do hold friends in the highest regard. This just didn't feel right despite my arousal.

I turned and stared into her green eyes. If she had grinned or smiled I would have left, but she stared back as if she was looking for something or asking me for something. I knew her situation, unhappy marriage, workaholic, did I really want to be a part of this now?

I still don't know.

After the ceremony (if I dare call a funeral a ceremony, the word seems to happy)she walked out behind me. I turned to say goodbye, but she spoke first asking me to join her for a coffee. I obliged.
I offered to drive and would bring her back to the church for her car. As we drove to the coffee shop she just stared at me...we didn't speak. We both knew this was something we both wanted at one time, but still we both questioned it now.

I always knew I could never love a married woman (besides , I love all my friends, married or not, but not as lovers), and I know I don't love her , but the lust was still there. The question was now , "what did she want?".

Lust or Love?

At various times in our lives, we have different thoughts go through our minds. They may be for love...for lust...maybe both...and maybe neither.

Often times there may be a perceived thought that's induced by a glance, stare, or gesture. Is it correct, or is it just our mind's that lead us to that assumption?

Only communication, in the form of direct or indirect words, can clarify the answers.

As far as looking for love or looking for lust goes, if it was just for lust, she would've moved her hand from your inner thigh to your erection.

From what you've said, she's flirting with the possibility. The question is, do either one of you want to go there, and/or, who will make the first move?
