Truman Show Theme Music

Ever since the first time I saw the movie "The Truman Show" I have liked it. It is one of those movies I can watch any time it is on. I honestly have no idea why.

I just watched it again (Forrest Gump is coming on next) and again it makes me happy. Kind of weird huh? I could try to analyze myself by why I like the movie but why? What's the point really?

It is the end, where he walks across the water and to the stairs and has a choice to make. To hide in a self contained world or to chance the bigger one with its many pains and sorrows. Powerful imagery to me, especialy today.

Shawshank Redemption is another one I could watch again and again. How about you?

If I don't see ya... Good morning, good evening and good night!

Awww, the Forrest Gump jokes are going to be flowing freely here, I can just feel it! (Just me being vile again)

Life is like a box of chocolates... all slightly warmer than room temperature.

I thought that The Truman Show was brilliantly done and I loved Carey's performance in it. Was pretty interesting at the end when
Truman found out about the boundaries on his world that had been created to keep him inside serving others as he lived his life day
to day. Until he knew...he just didn't know...and yet he was drawn
to find we all are... I also thought it was brilliant how
they periodically had ongoing *commercials* to the cameras..sometimes
in the kitchen scenes, for instance...pretty funny.

Shawshank Redeption? One of my all time favorite movies. I think
that one kicked ass and took names...loved it.

Just a little food for thought.............
If you really want to be happy, nobody can stop you...

City of Angels....I loved the story it told of a man who was willing to give up everything for a chance to be with the woman he loved...and then the tragedy of losing her. So sad!

Do you believe in the old saying...

'It is better to have loved and lost, then never to
have loved at all?'

Shrek, Forrest Gump, The Wizard of Oz, The Hobbit, Beaches, St. Elmo's Fire (stop laughing), and...didn't think about it 'til Tiger mentioned it...The Legend of Bagger Vance. The movie is actually as good as the book.
