Love State Law... How About Your State?

I was just sitting here and browsing the blogs and the news was on. I don’t normally venture into this realm of discussion, as you know, but I found it interesting to say the least.

Texas is one of only a handful of states that has a curfew for Convicted Sex Offenders of Children on Halloween.

Here is what Texas law says:

The convicted sex offender:

- Must be indoors by 5PM
- Can’t answer the door for trick or treaters
- Can’t decorate their homes.
- Even the porch light and lights in front of the house are supposed to be off.

The County just north of me is having a lock-in for all Convicted Sex Offenders of Children. They MUST show up at a designated site and stay there from 5PM until midnight.

Across Texas, the parole board will be making spot checks of convicted Sex Offenders.

My personal opinion, I wanna find my tazer and go experiment. But hey that is just me, how about you? Does your state do anything like this?

Pretty much the same guidelines here. I'm with you...sounds like a good night for target practice.

I love the state of Texas, of course our state doesn't have laws like this, they don't have the balls.

Being a true Texan myself-I love what we do "for" our sex offenders-but then again I would not let my kiddos go trick-or-treating without me in the first place!
Love Ron White and the fact that we not only have the death penalty--we have an express lane!

Damn Astros!

T Illinois just passed this stuff in the past few days and it is also now illegal for them to dress like Santa or the Easter Bunny

The sad part is we still have them living within eye sight of schools and the majority never register.

The offenders out here in ID will be looked at by police, must have their porch lights off and no trick or treaters.

As of yet we do not confine them on halloween yet

Every month, some 50 sexual predators join Iowa's registry of offenders, now exceeding 5,200.

Iowa has recently passed a tough new bill limiting the freedoms of convicted sex offenders and giving greater public access to sex offender registries. Here in my city, with the limits on how close a sex offender is allowed to live to a school or daycare(at least 2000ft away). Coupled with the large number of schools and daycare centers in my city, it leaves sex offenders a very limited area in which to live in this city.

Now if we could just figure out a way to put razor wire around those areas...

We don't do what we want them to do to sex offenders.

If we had our way... they wouldn't offend again.

that's a great idea Holloween is a US festivity though my SD did get dressed up as a witch and go to a fundraising party held by her guide troop and looked very cute I must say after I spent 2 hours painting her face but trick or treating has never taken off here and I doubt ever will....

it is a novelty nothing more

T, They are required to register they just dont bother and the system loses them as they move around

I personally believe they are wired wrong and cannot be cured or rehabilatated, should not be parolled ever and support castration. Now how about females (like the famous teachers) what do we do with them?

Same damn thing dano. They are just as guilty as their male counterparts. I personally believe they should be left in a room alone with the Mother of children they have hurt. Now that would be sweet justice...and...they would have no need to spend all that money registering and looking up on them. Ever seen a momma bear react to someone messing with HER babies? Glad to say though that VA also has that law...

I make mistakes, I am out of control & at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. ~Marilyn

It's pretty stupid too. A teacher would have to be at least 22 yrs old in the first place, and in all her 22 yrs no one has told her that you don't fuck with little boys...(or girls). Nope...Just as bad - in fact - worse, women are supposed to be nuturers...not preditors. is no matter who the perpertrater is.
