I'll hang up and listen...

I was on my way home tonight and heard something that made me think of a question for you. (bare with me as I am leaving this post using my Treo)

Ever listen to talk radio and the caller makes a statement and then says "ok, I'll hang up and listen?"

What a great phrase to be able to use in everyday life. What situations could you use that phrase in?

Example: "Honey... How was your day at work? I'l hang up and listen now!"

Ask my dad how the Ashes are going (cricket for the non english or austrailians here)though think I fall asleep rather than actually listen.

Everytime a student comes to me to talk to me about something personal. I hang up and listen. Most times they don't want guidance, they want someone to listen to.

There are definately some people out there who should hang up and listen. They are too busy gabbing that they don't hear any comments from those they are speaking to. Could be a life lesson well learned all of the sudden!!!

I agree with Txrose... but also alot of peeps want others to listen and while they use them as a sounding board, they usually work it out for themselves. I am one who is usually listening, I would love a ear every now and then.... T
