Like some of us, this blog was conceived by accident. Like some of us, it was born somewhat prematurely. Like most of us, it ignores the extent of its life span.

As for the moment I have no texts ready, I will leave you with an apt excerpt from our "Favorite (albeit a bit cheesy) Lyrics" Department:

though your heart is aching
even though it's breaking
when there are clouds
in the sky
you 'll get by
if you smile
through your fear and sorrow
and maybe tomorrow
you 'll see the sun
come shining through
for you

light up your face with gladness
hide every trace of sadness
although a tear
may be ever so near
that's the time
you must keep on trying
what 's the use in crying
you 'll find that life
is still worthwhile
if you just smile...

as sung by Rod Stewart in his great cd "As time goes by- the grear American songbook, vol. II"

Thank you for stopping by,

Thanks for the gentle reminder that all will be well. Life has dealt me a pretty shitty hand lately and it's hard to keep a smile through all of this. Good ole Rod Stewart, I am searching for the song now to download.

you mean the Nat King Cole version?... it's just as beautiful.
But, somehow this song has captured me, its slow, pleasant atmosphere drawing me in... and it seemed such an appropriate song for my handle too.

oh, and I do smile a lot, so wipe your tears because my smile is contageous.

I wanted to come back and see when exactly you started your blog, and re-read the first blog. I find myself sitting here not really sure what the appropriate thing to say would be? Other then to suggest you listen to your "cheesy friend" Rod Stewarts advice. There is a reason you posted those lyrics as your first post, perhaps they might be helpful to you now? All my love, hugs and kisses.
