~~Go into the Light~

The thing is, none of us can have a new reality until we can rise above the old.

I could go on and on here but I won't; at least not MUCH.

All of us all of the time are continually changing; falling apart and coming back together in a new order. There are endless possibilities in each of our futures; I am ultimately left with the intrinsic belief that we have both more control and less control over those futures; a paradox with which even now I grapple. Perhaps I always will, as part of the human condition.

The one thing I am sure of; is that all of us MUST experience to some degree change as a condition of life.

Sometimes we hide and ignore the necessity as long as we can because we can't find a comfortable and safe path to take.

But we MUST eventually choose a path, or a path will choose us. I have been reminded more than once that no choice is still a choice. Of course, any path whether it's the road you started off on or a new road that presents itself is still a path, to be altered as desired and necessary, at times.

I am stubborn in my dislike of changing paths, but sometimes paths MUST be changed in order for health and happiness to come. Sometimes you will not ever find what you're looking for directly on the current path, and it's only reason for existence is to get you to another crossroads at which point in time you have a better choice of paths to take. At THAT point, sometimes THAT is when a bit of creative chaos is in order, to shake your perpective enough that you notice it for what it is.

I wish only, then, that there may be much joy in your path and mine whether chosen or meandering; and when joy fails, may peace tide us through and we always be mindful that a light always shines at the end of the tunnel.

For I am convinced that there is always a light; only limited perspective hides it from us at times.

The paradox of more or less control is determined simply by acknowledgement...you choose. The concept of control is predicated by how you define yourself and your situation.A person must be openminded enough, practical enough, and logical enough to decide...and then be wise and humble enough to be held accountable for your actions.I think that life experiences will help guide you,to better control yourself(but of course we all get weak at times, and life throws us a curve from time to time and this is what keeps life interesting

In short, " Changing your thinking can indeed change your world. So choose the best thoughts that you can possibly imagine."

The only thing that remains constant in our lives is change. Change must be expected, celebrated, studied, negotiated, and then conquered.

We should always expect it and consider the best options it presents. That is the only healthy approach.

Great blog! 2Bpragmatic is right, change is the only
constant in our lives. As to control, I like to think
of it this way: The only thing in our lives that we
have total, absolute control over, is our thoughts.
If we use our minds for positive images of ourselves,
we tend to have more control over our lives. The
reverse is also true, negative thoughts tend to lead
to negative actions that degrade the quality of our
lives, and leave us feeling less in control.

tnt, thanks for the positive thoughts and wishes!
May they be returned to you tenfold, so that you
have an abundance of joy and happiness in your life!
