Cards Beat Astros 5-4 In Game 5 Of NCLS!!!

The St. Louis Cardinals bring the NLCS back to the friendly confines of Busch Stadium for Game 6 as Albert Pujols hits a 3 run homer with two out in the top half of the 9th inning to give the Cardinals a 5 - 4 lead over the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park in Houston. The Redbirds, with Jason Isringhausen pitching in relief of starter Chris Carpenter, held on in the bottom half of the 9th to win the game with a final score of 5 - 4! The series now moves back to St. Louis on Wednesday night.

Although the Cardinals will be moving to their new stadium next season, it appears that at least one more game will be played at venerable Busch Stadium. A standing room only crowd of Redbird fans is expected!

bookie39 - Sorry my friend, but Albert Pujols and the Cardinals will not be coming to the Windy City! Astros' pitching staff was just too strong! 'Hope you can make it to St. Louis next year to see Albert and the Redbirds in their new stadium!
