Whats YOUR favourite album...........???

On the way into work this morning I passed an advert for the "1001 albums you had to hear before you die"......now thats a lot of music to hear so I got thinking about whats my favourite album of all time is - the one I would HAVE to have if I was stranded on a desert Island...which had electricity and a sound system - (Indeed theres many a person who would like to see me on a desert Island)...now I have a huge music collection ranging from cds(obviously) tapes and the unique and brilliant vinyl....so a bit of thought was required

So after a while of soul searching I came up with my answer....my favourite album of all time...the one I would take to a desert Island is the brilliant,incredible.......

GHOST IN THE MACHINE...by my all time heroes (other than the Rat Pack...) - THE POLICE

Released in 1981(25 yrs ago - making me feel old here) it was just an amazing piece of work and was responsible for me starting drumming with a near hero worship of the drummer Stuart Copeland (who I actually met in Italy in 2004 with his big jazz fusion band) - Some of you who know me know I have a replica Tama Kit similar to one he played with the famous words "f*ck off you c...s" written on it as he did - hero worship gone mad indeed....Im not going to tell you the last word there...you can guess and if you cant look at the sleeve of the "Zenyatta Mondatta "album...

Wherever I go in the car or abroad...that album comes with me

But I digress here.....thats my favourite album of all time...but seeing as its a hard call to make I'll give an honourable runners up spot to Frank Sinatras "Come fly with me"....A fantastic album from a true legend and great

Sorry If I've on there a bit....the question is simple......

(Go on then.....you can have 1 runner up....)

First all-time favorite would probably be Seal (his first album). It's probably the best "front-porch-night" album ever made. Runner up is actually a tie: The Embers "25th Anniversary" and Rush "Moving Pictures". I know you said only 1 runner up, but I'm being stubborn today! {=}

I might have to agree with you almost since the Police were my favorite band to get me through college ( yes - 25 years ago is hard to believe). so how about that for best all time dance punking out album and Dark Side of the Moon for best slow - good to do alot of fun things to do - album....
