Strength in weakness....

I sit here and I wish I knew the webbings of your heart....
too hear the cries that stretch within.

So many things I could show you, teach you as I guide you along your fateful path. A world renowned pleasure that lies within the artist palette, seeking out its seat of destiny. On I go, calling to you, hoping one day you will listen, you will hear. I sit back and watch in pain as you struggle and writhe within the bindings of so many things that lye beyond your touch and understanding. It is the cruel joke that fate has dealt you and you lack the wisdom to see the chains that bind you. Your mind is strong but it is your will that breaks against the rocks of circumstance and the more you fight, the deeper it gets and the less I can help you. You lack the courage to fall but cannot seem to find the strength to stand.

I reach out to help you but my words fall on deaf ears. The iron envy of your fear locks me out of my charity. I will plow on, as any would....doing all I can to help you discover the beautiful woman that you are and giving my all to be your friend, with all the will and strength I posess. Adieu.

Ive never been a heavy drinker but I do love my wine....alot. Some would argue that when I die, everyone could get drunk off of red wine by drinking my blood....lol.

Yet, even though drinking has never been a problem for me. A few times in my life I have went to some AA meetings for one reason and one reason alone......To sit in the room and listen to one beautiful and fateful prayer (whether people will admit it is a prayer or not..)

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannnot change, the strength to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference."

There is something moving, powerful and humbling about listening to a room full or people speak this prayer outloud.....seeing that the balance of so many things in their lives falls upon the ears that would listen to it and see the beauty of its weakness.

I do hope and pray that our Father grants His mercy upon us all, each and every moment of every day. I dont know about you but I need it.

Have a wonderful day.

Adieu

You are both very welcome. I know I needed to feel it and beleive it, some days more than others.

Very nice. Hope you get your prayer - and yes, it is a beautiful one.

I learned this prayer at ALANNON, and it is helpful to repeat it at times. I also learned that we can become insane by trying to solve the problems of others. This person will take your advice...or not, but it will be in their own good time. Sounds like codependence to me. Good luck!

Your words do not fall on deaf ears...your words are taken to heart one by one and placed inside the void that lies within...such beautiful words.

I wrote a post entitled "Serenity" awhile ago that featured this prayer.
This prayer has always dug down deep into my soul. Another is "Footprints in the Sand." Strange how the words can be possed as such that you can read between the lines.
