A bit breezy...

Outside but totally gorgeous Florida weather

So the update for this week. Have I mentioned how much I REALLY REALLY love my job?? I started as a temp there in August of last year, turned permanent employee in October (part time status). One of my co-workers left the beginning of this month so I got to move into a full time position and took over the work she did. Yesterday I got called in to the bosses office. "You're doing such a great job I want to give you a raise. $1.25 and we'll put that into effect as of this past Monday."

Ok my eyes are bugging out and I'm really trying not to cry over how happy I am. This is going to help SO much when I move into the new place in a few weeks. I was a tad bit worried about finances and how I was going to handle things but I feel more comfortable now. I think things are going to be ok.

I leave for DC next Friday to see my hunny d_c_guy. I can't wait! Been about a month since we've seen each other. We'll be attending the Cherry Blossom Festival which I'm really looking forward to since every year I hear how beautiful the trees are.

I went out the other night with lethalchopstick to the Blue Martini. On a Wednesday night the pickins were slim and not a warm body to be found. It was like people were looking right through me. I even wore a shirt that says Kiss Me on it and nothing. Hey folks it's an open invitation HELLOOOOOOOO LOL Oh well Friends are going to Bricktown 54 tonight and I want to go soooooooo bad but I have come down with a sinus infection so it's rest and recoup for me.

Tomorrow is laundry and packing. I spent most of today shopping. Hit the bookstore and library booksale not only to buy books for myself but for my Bookcrossing project as well. Also went to Sephora and got new makeup so I can look stunning LOL Sephora...their slogan should be "Every woman's dream and every man's nightmare" LOL

I'm still trying to come up with something to put in d_c_guy's testimonial. He was sweet enough to put one in my profile. There's so much I can say about him though, how do I manage to put that into a few lines??

I'm off to go lay down before heading to the accountant's office and to pick up my little boy.

Anyone out there doing anything special this weekend? I keep forgetting there's the Ren Fest going on right now and I'm going to miss it this year. I wanted to go back and get the Claddagh necklace to match the ring d_c_guy gave me. I did however manage to find the leaflet from last year's Ren Fest with the link to the place that sold it so maybe I'll order one online sometime.

Sounds like things are going your way... congratulations!

Get D C Guy to take you to a baseball game... that's what I am doing when I am in DC in a few weeks...

I wrote a recent blog on Testimonials ... perhaps not what you were thinking, but you might get a few ideas!

Happy to see things going well for you. If I ever see you at Blue Martini I will be sure to introduce myself.

A late welcome to Blogville, and to TASA.

I miss the cherry blossoms in DC. The blossoms never seemed to be on the same timetable as the festival, but it's a beautiful time of year to be there.

Have a safe trip.

Let me drive. I like the view

I did not get to see the movie because it was sold out when I got there, so I went to Round-Up instead, which is usually a major zoo on Saturdays but it filled my cardio need.

I was on Live Journal too and then I started getting tons of junk mail.

Glad to see you participating on the blogs and the TASA board. Maybe one day you can drag DC Guy down here for a Meet & Greet.
