Shave or dye that is the question

I've had a mustache since college and than is now for some 30 years. In all that time I have only shaved it off once, about 12 years ago. But to my horror, when it started to grow back it was peppered with gray. Now my mustache is mostly gray/white which I feel does not go well with my full head of brown/black hair with just a touch of gray in the temples.

I'm ready for a change and I want to shave it off. I know that with it off I look much younger. However my wife strongly objects, she does not want me to shave. She wants me to color it, I've tried that and it looks great for a short time but then it's back to looking old. When it's colored I also look a lot younger, it's just that I feel I need a change.

I origionly grew the mustache in the 70's to look older and be a little wild. I kept it for all these years more out of habit that anything else but now I don't want to look older, I am old enough. Right now it is colored, and I must admit I look 10 years younger, not that it helps any.

My question is do I go for the radical look and shave or do I continue to color it? I'm open to ideas.

Is it a pain to color it? If not, then keep it. I love a man with a moustache! Not that I'm every gonna see you. Well, I see you but not your face.

I suggest you shave it. I ever saw those dye their mustache, it does not look good on them. Or maybe you cold show your photo then we can know why your wife strongly objects. The best is you shaved it if you don't feel comfortable with the original colour.

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.
