Tips for a sucessful party or greet...

I'm kinda writing this tongue-in-cheek... but then again, with enough personal experience to say that some of this is all too true... and some is just plain funny...

take it for anything it's worth... if only for a laugh if you like...

---

Alcohol helps to relax us, to ease our inhibitions, to make us more approachable...

it also turns some people into morons, weepy and sentimental cling-ons, risk-taking jackasses or sad, passed-out heaps...

Always remember that your intake is your responsibility... no one is pouring it down your throat...

so any shit you talk, people you insult, messes you make, shack-ups, pick-ups or warrants - are all on you...

I'll say it once... or a thousand times... we're all supposed to be adults here, right?

---

Respect. That's what it's about. Respect the people you meet - the place that you meet - the people serving you - and yourself. Enjoy... have fun... leave a good impression!

---

Remember - there are cameras everywhere. Phone cams, slim cams, purse cams, digital cams, one-use cams... cams, cams, cams. If you don't wanna show up on one, that's cool - but it's your lookout too...

public events are one thing, private stuff is another. If you dance naked on a bar, chances are someone is gonna snap some pix... so keep cameras in mind as you get into the party mood.

---

Bi-polar people - please, if you have to choose between the meds and the booze... take the meds and sip a soda - the mood swings just aren't cool for anyone.

---

Remember - cameras are everywhere - lobbies, elevators, pools, stairwells... some places still call the cops...

---

No really does mean no... not maybe... not later... not sometime... just take it as no and move on... we're all adults.

---

Watch your stuff - there are always new people to meet and greet - so keep an eye on your important stuff - lock it up, carry it but don't just drop it somewhere - anywhere.

---

part two to follow...

peace
