Tuesday's Color....White.

I feel a new dawn coming for me today. I woke up feeling very sexy today...no not "I-could-be-a-porn-star" sexy, just sexier than yesterday.
I know I have been a little down on love lately, so this is a fairly big step in the right direction. If I can wake up in the morning with an appreciation of myself, then maybe I can start to care again.....

More mindless ramblings from...

No, you are right. How can one be expected to truly love and care about someone else outside of their immediate family if they don't feel good about themselves? After all if I can't love what I am all about and feel good about who I am then how can I expect someone else to? And, if you are not careful it turns into a viscous cycle as you begin to think that you feel like crap because you are alone but yet you find it hard to reach out because you feel like such crap.

'Thang~

It's a good start. If I learned nothing else from my x, it was this: you can't love another if you can't love (& accept) yourself. Her self-loathing eventually poisoned me, tho I'm well along in de-tox!

btw, your nebulae looked lovely this morning!

I'm glad things are looking up ST

I agree, wise words from Texas, Keystone, and Priapus. The "better half" we all need to find first and foremost is ourselves.

I tend to wake up confused until the caffeine kicks in.

I hope life brings you the courage to care again that you're hoping for ST.

Always,

keystone, I am really trying. I have a lot of things about myself to overcome in order to have the ability to even care what life brings. Waking up in a positive mood this morning helped, though that mood didn't stay for long....I'm feeling very UNsexy now

Mister, I don't want to poison anyone. I also don't want to be poisoned in the same respect. I guess I may need a little detox myself....

Isn't it a lovely pic?? I think it's beautiful!

Luke, some ppl never realize that they need to respect themselves before they can ever really truly care for another. They spend they're whole lives miserable and I don't want to be that person.
The lonliness is tough though

Thang~

Good to hear that you neither want to poison or be poisoned... a very HUMAN start, at the least!

I'd warn you to beware of moods- they are ephemeral and may be sparked by the most innocuous things, i.e. Scrooge's lament that his vision may be no more than a bit of undigested meat.

Positive Self-reinforcement is the ONLY way to negate the flux you appear to be experiencing. There is such a thing as Free Will- absolutely NO one has the power to make you feel this or that way... you choose how you feel.

When those niggling self-doubts surface, it's your responsibility to quash them immediately. You have to remind yourself, "I chose not to feel this way."

Sure hope this helps

PS: It certainly is lovely! A portion of The Horse Head Nebula, isn't it?

Mister, I do TRY to be human every now and then, but this skin thing gets kinda itchy! LOL
I am certainly trying to tell myself everyday to feel as little as possible, but I'm and emotional wreck instead! Oh well...if you guys can put up with a mood swing or two then it's not so bad is it?

Actually the pic is a portion of the Swan Nebula, but that is a great guess!!

Thang~

Maybe instead of trying to feel less, which I suspect may well be an unattainable goal, it might be a more efficient strategy to re-direct your emotions into more acceptable channels.

It sounds easy, but it's anything BUT! It takes considerable effort and consciousness to re-train yourself, initially. With time and effort, the habit establishes itself and you needn't monitor yourself so closely.

Evolving can be a tedious, time-consuming process, but the end results often justify the effort... altho I still miss my prehensile tail!

Dang, Thang! The Swan, you say?! OK, that confirms it- I've been on this rock entirely too long. I need to visit home...

Mister, I know EXACTLY how you feel...just waiting for Mom and Pop to come pick me up and take me home
Doesn't it seem that people are becoming less human and more mechanical? At this rate of evolution the need for robots will be extinguished, due to everyone becoming emotionless shells....or robots.
Sorry, I ramble often!

I'll hitch a ride where are we goin'?

Yeah, people are becoming more mechanical and emotionless because it is just easier that way then having some ultra right-wing conservative with a stick up his butt telling me how evil I am or an ultra left-wing liberal telling me I am not PC enough. It is just easier if you sit in the corner and not say a word or act in a certain way so as not to offend anyone and end up in court. Sorry if I am being too cynical.

Thang~

I don't believe that folx are getting less emotional, however I think that they are getting more insular: I guess it's just easier to separate yourself from humanity than to have to contend with all those sloppy, moist emotions. (Besides, who would want to become Marvin, the Paranoid Android? Brain the size of a planet notwithstanding...)

I simply observe, I make no claims of understanding it... nor, I hope, will I ever!

Because a day without sunshine is like

Night!

Thanx for the invite! Before I could possibly accept a ride from a stranger (btw, got any candy?!), 2 things, Thang: Which system are we going to (because if it‘s anywhere still here in the unfashionable Western Spiral Arm, I‘m afraid I‘ll have to wait… Ah, who‘m I kidding? LOVE to come along!), and can my puppy come, too (she's very well behaved, loves everybody and everything, and does not have doggy-breath, and is literally flatulence free!)?

btw, will tea be available, or should I pack a few semis full before the Vogons arrive..?

While awaiting your reply, I’ll just follow the advice on the cover of The Guide…

Sweet Thang~

An invite to The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe! Heck, yes! You don't have to ask me twice!!! (Let alone SEVEN times! LMA

That'll be great, maybe we'll run into my old chum, Hotblack Desiato. You remember Hotblack- he's currently in suspended animation so he could declare himself legally dead for tax purposes!

I just can't decide what cut of meat I'll want when the entree comes to the table looking for requests...

Magrathea will be a good stop after we chow down, Slartibartfast oughta be waking up just about any time, now.

No, she isn't potty trained, but I'm confident that the Infinite Improbability Drive will convert the pee into something slightly less offensive, like, oh, I don't know, Budweiser, maybe? You're right about that not going well with Vogon poetry... her land mines, on the other hand...

PS: I'm confused- I thought your folx were picking us up. Are the mice driving, now?

PPS: Now the mind that came up with that alternate reality post concerning Boyle's Law and the clown car is becoming a whole lot clearer to me!!!

Mister,I am very sorry...I was experimenting with font size there! I thought I had deleted all the failed attempts already, but they came back this morning! It's really frustrating when you write a post, but never see it, and yet you screw up and accidently hit the refresh button and there's that post three times!!
To change font size, try this:
[ size 6 ] Does this.
Just don't put spaces between the brackets.
