My addiction

I once read about a heroine who would take her favorite herbs and put them down her bodice so that the heat of her body would wilt the herb and bring out its fragrance.

I found that idea to be so intriguing, so womanly, and so something I've always wanted to try.

To have that fragrance that just tickles the senses, not a perfume that one puts on, but a mingling of scent and skin that becomes unique. In the spring, I so long for the warm weather, that when the jasmine vine in my yard blooms as the first harbringer of spring; I am tempted to gather armfulls of the flowers and just roll on them to crush the smell into my skin. To be drunk with fragrance.

Closest I've come to this concept, is this outrageously expensive lotion, that has become my vice, my downfall, my addiction.

Cleverly enough it is called Hempz.

The sense of smell is one of the most powerfully stimulating to the brain. I love that idea!

Damn, all I smell here is a puppy that needs a bath, or maybe some botanicals strung from her collar!

Been a while since they last let me out into polite society. Resurfacing, catching a breath, & catching up.

And while I got my Broad-Brimmed Pimping Hat on, could I cajole all of y'all to Comment on, Alone In A Cloud? It's probably the best thing that I've written!

Lavendar can actually be carried in a pocket and produce the same effect. (Provence is most potent of the lavendars) I have experimented with lemon balm, a variety of mints, orange thyme, rosse petals, and stargazer lilies (the pollen is a problem) for various hints of scents in a room or the car.

As one who had to have what Hemp was explained to is perhaps a tad more laughable that I find a lotion named by it to be my vice.

There is a neighbor whose lavender bush sticks out into the pathway, and I pinch a bit off Ravyn and sniff it while I take walks at twilight.'s probably a good thing I haven't tried it yet, I would perhaps would enjoy the smoking of it more than the rubbing of it on my body...come to think of! No! I wouldn't!

Yes, Mr. P...

Fragrance and scent take us back to memories that we thought long ago to be left behind. An amazing thing be triggered in that way. Our amazing senses that allow us to relive special moments.

And another thing...Mr. P...

I know that wet dog smell...I would go up to my son as a sweaty boy, oh he still is one...

I would say, "you smell like a wet dog darling, go take a bath." Always got a laugh...

If only we could get men to send us bottles of Hempz instead of their cock shots...well, we'd be very happy girls, wouldn't we?
