i have never looked upon solitude as a negative thing...however i can see how someone could...

When i think of solitude...i see quiet...i see alone...not lonely...i see freedom...there you can be yourself without a care in the world. You find your inner-most fears, joys, pains, and happiness....My solitude is used for self-rejuvination and soul searching. If i am unbalanced can i ever be productive....

You learn yourself...inside and out. Solitude is a place of balance. self growth!!!! if you dont know who you are and what you is someone else going to get the idea!!!

Reading your post made me think of it.

ahh curious creature....
how i envy thee.
embraced by your
amniotic world,
you stare up/out
at us with your
wide-angle parabolic lenses.
serenely fluid thoughts
fill your liquid life
as you reflect placidly
on the nothingness of origin.
do you pity our prattling ways
my ichthian sibling?
do you wonder the
mysteries of why we stray
so far, unlike thee,
from the waters of our creation?
such familiar realms
so soon forgotten by we
sleepwalking sapiens of the surface
for long lost are our senses:
dissolved into solution
as we flow from
freshwater womb
into saline world.

Now if everyone could find peace in solitude. Unfortunately fear of solitude can lead to all kinds of behaviour to medicate ourselves....drugs, drink, sex, eating,.....

I think one who has learned to live with solitude has found a real key to living a happy, balanced life.

I so agree with your thoughts...

I would rather live in solitude than with someone that would not understand and appreciate me. I feel quite comfortable being alone... of course I do sometimes appreciate some input or stimulus...... books, music, making music, sensuality, walking in nature, the company of friends....... But I am not afraid to be alone, and I enjoy simple silence too...

Great thoughts sunrise....

Solitude is a good thing, I don't think enough people have it or can understand it...

Everyone is stuck on numbers in the bedroom or in friendships in general...

Many people can not keep their balance though....

They just keep falling over each and every single time that they try....

sometimes i think its easier to find that balance...than it is to deal with someone else...if you are not really centered...and happy with your could you ever be happy with someone else....
