A nice day for yard work

Well... I gotta admit, I was a pretty bummed when I heard it wasn't going to get past 70 today.

But with the sunshine and a calm 67, it made an ideal day for yard work.

It's amazing how out of control a privet can get. I've got a pile of branches 3 feet high, just from today.

It was also a pretty successful day of seek+destroy on greenbriars: the common foe of mankind. A few extra thorny dead guys from last year ambushed me, but I managed to get the better of them and now they're the ones in the refuse pile!

Another big win for the day was getting rid of a lot of this "honeysuckle bush" which has been choking out the blueberries. I would have taken the whole thing out, but some birds have setup house and I that's fine by me.

Noisy as they may be in the mornings.
