Death rides a pale white stallion
Mortis is his name
you know that when you see him
you'll never breathe again

His hoofs are stout and mighty
though his riders very thin
his mane it flows with fire bright
as he travels on the winds

From all four corners of the earth
he gallops far and wide
carrying the dead to their resting place
his flanks they glow with pride

No sweat breaks on his torso
No furrow marks his face
He does not judge his payload
He never breaks his pace

From dawn to dusk he labours
cross plains
cross roads
cross sky

and if you hear his hoofbeats you better pray he'll pass you by
