HOW BAD IS YOUR BOSS?

My boss has been pushing my buttons all day,He's not the boss from hell but he is really close to that.
The real problem is he's not my only boss, there's also his wife... That one really can lay it on, and He doesn't have the balls to stand up to her. So when she's giving him a hard way to go, it all falls back on me... From both of them!
All in all it wasn't that bad of day, I've had much worse from them... They do get some perverse pleasure from trying to push my Buttons, I usually just ignore them and do my own thing. But today I let it get under my skin, And I let them both have it! Now they're walking on tip toes around me. I think they'll play nice for awhile after this!

Have You ever had a boss that was just hard to be around, maybe a boss from hell?
Have you ever had an ongoing problem with your boss? how did it turn out?

What Was The Worst Job You Ever had?

I had a boss from hell and it took me three years, but I finally figured her out. The key was, when I wanted something, I went to her with two choices, either of which would be fine by me. She felt she was making a decision, and either way I got what I want. It fooled her every time!

Yep...had the boss from hell. I loved her but she was a piece of work to work for. I never had problems with her per se cause I understood her but for most, she was hell on wheels.

The boss I just had though. I never understood her at all. She was menopausal and constantly going off for absolutely no reason. I'm so glad they layed me off LOL.

The worst job I ever had...hmmmm. I'm not sure. I hated working as a certified nurses aide but loved the people I worked with. I hated working as a janitor but the hours were perfect. I hated working as a cook because my feet and legs got bruised (long story) but the kids faces when they walked up and told me I was the best cook ever were so sweet. All the jobs I've ever had have had their plusses and minuses.

aka "satan"
aka "asshole"
aka "fucktard"
aka "jerk"
aka "camel fucker"

Yeah.
Chocolate to calm your nerves when the ass is there? $1
5 gallons of gas to drive to hell each day? $15
Health insurance because you boss makes you sick? $300
Telling your boss you quit?
Priceless

I've got an interview Tuesday at 4:30. Hopefully it will work out.

I have had some terrible "principals" during my public school teaching career, which is why I finally went to corrections. Right now, I have been very fortunate about my boss. He lets me do what I want as long as it doesn't jeopardize the policies of the institution. He does have a small problem though..he is not a "people" person, meaning he doesn't like to deal with the staff when they are having problems with each other. He would rather have us work things out for ourselves. He is an excellent paperwork man though.

Well Thank You Loveme, I knew you had problems with the bosses in Public schools and it's good that ya got one that would rather kinda hide in his paper work.... at least he doesn't have his nose up yur butt all the time That is some thing at least!~

I had a boss who told ya one thing and then when ya did it, she would then say it was wrong....drove me absolutely bat-shit! I quit that job post haste! I hated when I worked for a company...ok it was for Carl's Jr. as an assistant manager, but the Manager did not appreciate the fact I was a woman. So, he would not train me in anything....so after a month and a half of being ignored...I did not show up one day....he eventually called me 4 days later asking what was wrong!!!!!!

Can you say.... A-DUH!!??

Country - if you are running her reports, chances are she has no idea what's in them and probably no idea what they mean.

Now, being a little naughty, you could perhaps, do them wrong ! She won't be able to have a go at you because she should be doing them in the first place - double jeopardy !

Hi Spunky
I worked for a woman that thought she had to be a hard-ass to get the guys to respect her. She used to swear like a sailor and rant n rave at everyone. Took a while, but I figured out that if I lowered the pitch of my voice and flirted with her, she'd go all giggly and girlie. Never had any more grief from her once I started that one.

Worst job? I sold encyclopedias door to door. That was the big suck-o-la.

I had a boss who was a total asshole. At first he seems nice, but then you get to know him. He's completely disorganized and loses everything important. He is a user and back-stabber and a mooch to boot. I can't stand him!

I was very lady like once I quit. I gave her a weeks notice, saying that for personal and professional reasons I couldn't work there any more. She heard how I had blown off on the day I decided to quit, and thought it best she just paid me the last week without me working. Smart woman, I can take a lot of shit but once I am full watch out!!!!!!!!

I worked for a nasty piece of work in an electricity company. She hired someone for her office through a local temp agency. The staff in the office told me that although the temp was great at the job, this boss didn't want to pay the agency fees.
She sacked the temp and hired me through another agency at a lower rate.
Once she had the invoice for a day of my work she sacked me and went back to the first agency to re-negotiate for the first temp at a lower price.
I hate time wasters like that. Thankfully the agency managed to call me on my mobile before I'd cycled the full 10 miles to work on the second day.

Don't ever give up searching for the fun in life.

I had two jobs that I hated.

One of them was the cafeteria at the VA Hospital in Seattle. It felt like not only was I doing my job, but other people's as well. Plus, the cook and I did not get along. I lasted a year and three months over there.

The second job I hated was working construction and roofing. Mostly coz it was for my stepdad. I knew the days were gonna be miserable, and I was right.

Come into my realm! You aren't afraid...are you?

spunky11961 replies on 9/9/2006 5:36 pm:
Hey Nick Thanx man! Those are sucky situations there for sure, and the roofing is bad enough, but with the step dad, man I don't envey ya that one!

I don't have a boss now, but my last one was at a tanning salon. He could work the spots off a cheetah, the more you did, the more that was expected.
Finally, that was enough. I walked out one evening when the place was packed and told him to shove his salon up his ass. I came home!
He called and begged me to come back...I did, and things were great after that.

Sometimes you just got to let them know.
