Whipsaw Puzzle

When you have all the pieces, but they wont fit together....

.

I think you have this big dream that I am only playing a part in.

You're right.

.

That is all.

I always end up with pieces left over at this time of year.

have you ever worked on a huge puzzle.......say 1000 or over pieces......and you work on it and work on it...cugiddy over how the end project will look and then you discover a piece missing?.....once you come to the realization that the puzzle will never be right because there is not going to be the ultimate reward of follow through.....you just throw it out......and wait til your ready to put a new puzzle together.......

did i ever share my dad's quote with you spinalicious?.....let me know...i'd be happy to share it

Spin~

Ditto on that: OUCH!

Something you probably already know, but there's nothing good to be gained by trying to make those nearly right fitting pieces match up by using a sledge hammer.

(Now an adze, on the other hand... )

Been a while since they last let me out into polite society. Resurfacing, catching a breath, & catching up.

And while I got my Broad-Brimmed Pimping Hat on, could I cajole all of y'all to Comment on, Alone In A Cloud? It's probably the best thing that I've written!

Lately...

Trying to fit square pegs into round holes...they pinch, they hurt, they frustrate, and bottom line, they never a fit. You only become more damaged and callused with each attempt.

spin So what are you waiting for?
keith Those are always the most puzzling of pieces. Aren't they?
Bard Well said, Bro. The reason I wanted it in the first place was for that picture. I thought it would be fun to try to put it all together and accomplish something beautiful. It is a hard picture to turn away from.
Ah my, shame me Honestly, who says cuggidy? But I catch your drift. Something is missing there, I agree. I have searched almost everywhere for it. Let me check under the sofa cushions again....Nope...not there either. But I found 42 cents worth of change to put towards a new one.
I really would have liked your dad. I mean that. I bet he said cuggidy, too.
tillerbabe It was the answer that I expected to hear, so..... I can cope. It was something I needed to be sure about. Thank you for checking in on me.
And 'Ouch' to you for your recent accomplishment, but it looks like it was worth it. Congratulations, and thanks again for sharing.
Mr.P Thank you, and you're right. I'll just wind up smashing pieces of myself trying to make them fit.
Measure a million times and Chop Once .
SW #1 Very well said and apropos. Thank you.
Maggie! Nice insight and ahem...visuals there. You are right. I am also playing a role, myself, in this. Not a good role either. Not really me. Not satisfying so.

Fox Comfort, competitiveness, conditioning: all these things play a role along with fear, regret, self punishment. Just not good things to base my life on.
