My KeyRing Looks the Same....Feels the Same.

Definition from Webster II

The picture is a design by h.r.giger for a CD.

I once sat thru a two hour lecture that compared Dante's Inferno to CDs and claimed that both were analogous to the use of architecture as a storage medium for thoughts, desires and creativity.

Is your key ring looking and feeling the same a good thing or a bad thing? And how does that make you feel (as in the esoteric sense)? *gentle hugs*

A ring can also represent the center of infinity.

The Inferno and CD's - architecture... analogies... God!

The storage of thoughts, desires and creativity is the realm of mind. Always will be. The other media are merely transient trash receptacles and Dante', himself, knew this. He might have used a CD, as his last resort, had they been around. A building? I don't think he (or anyone) could create a structure with enough "integrity" to capture HIS concept of Hell, let alone Heaven. Well, Hell - perhaps. Some buildings resemble Hell when they have been built. Or more so, when they have been imploded.

As for rings and keys? They always look and feel the same. The only difference, now, is there are two locks that remain sealed - one to each.

The Inferno... Yes, difficult to express as a building. Indeed! Even bridges don't do it justice? Though, keyrings. Now, they can reflect Hell quite effectively, can they not?

Sorry for your returned, and recovered keys, Spin.

Woof! That's too deep for 5 AM!

Gonna have to exhume my bathysphere from my garage to fully explore this one...

The poignancy of the returned key. Both in the sending and in the receiving. Sometimes it all you can do to remind yourself “…I knew there would be days like this–-and this sure seems to be one of them…dammit to hell, anyway…”

Spin, there cannot be a person alive whose heart doesn’t ache just a bit for a person in your shoes. When another is experiencing a loss, words always seem so inadequate. Yet, often, to me anyway, it almost felt better if someone accidentally said the wrong thing than it did when someone failed to say anything at all.

Whoa. For the love of all that is good, Solar, have ya got any tequila? Ah, forget it. I think they sell wine by the keg these days. If you’ll excuse me... Ajax Liquor Store? Yes, I was wondering, do you deliver? ~smile~

Patron! as usual. Care for a couple shots and a few Tequiza chasers? I find that after that first few, keys get lighter to carry. After a few more shots and chasers, I don't much care about keys - or bridges!

I actually posted this response back on 1 / 18 and just realized nobody but me can see it. I have replied to everyone so far, so if you don't see my reply please email me and let me know. I want to be sure that everyone gets a reply here. Your comments are important to me. I should have asked sooner about this. Sorry.

Look, Bud. You did the right thing. You really did. You know that. It was the best thing for both of you, short-term and long-term. You saw it coming, and tried to keep it from just being a self-fulfilling prophecy. So hard to do. To give it a chance, and work at it, and dammit try again and again.

SO many examples of everything in the above definitions of the word she wanted to hear the most from you. More than "I love you". More than "I care about you". She wanted that ring. It was the foundation for her. The security that allowed for everything to develop. Without it, nothing could develop. Two years of stalling and stagnation underlying everything. What kind of foundation is that?

I will never be able to understand her thoughts. I can't. I can only trust that she did love me and care about me. She did, in her way, in the only way she could allow herself. I tried. I really did. I hope I did. We deserved a good try, an honest attempt.

A dream defined and well sketched out: form, perspective, light, shadow and many disputed colors. She got to do the sky and clouds. I got to do the earth.
Everything got all fucked up on the horizon.

I hear the earth is round, rotates and orbits the sun.

The horizon is over yonder a spell.

_Safira If we both had dragons, could we touch the sun? The closer I get to this, the more intense it becomes. I'll just deal with things as they flare-up for now.
'Til then, my dragon keeps my heart safe. I'm glad you're here.

How much difference is there really between shackles and key rings? Is it actually in the persons holding them? When joined, they no longer have any function of their own. Freedom of spirit, mind and body is always a possibility. What are we when we want to be trapped?
Wow! I gotta start writing this stuff down.....
Thanks, Solar! Most Sincerely!
Mr.P. You do know that Heathkit announced a recall on it? Turns out that the screwdriver included with the kit was unable to provide the torque required for proper seating of all the gaskets. The sump pump they recommend as a possible workaround is available from most house and garden centers. Kinda sketchy if ya ask me.
Ah Hell! Fire up the Corvair and I'll buy the 40 ouncers of Schlitz in the sippin' sacks. We'd probably be much safer. Thanks, Buddy!
SW #1 You know, you really don't have to say anything. Just seeing you here is always comforting. You know that feeling where you can just sit together and say nothing, and it's nice and mellow and right. Such a simple thing. Why is simple the hardest thing to do usually? Please, say whatever you wish or just sit and rock and have a glass of sweet tea. Is that magnolia or honeysuckle?

"…where there is sadness, joy. " So many meanings in that complex statement, including a name.

I know this post was more than a "scootch" over the top with the "Still waters run deep" kinda stuff. Just something I have to climb. Thanks for joining me in the base camp. Hopefully oxygen wont be required for future pushes to the summit. Hope to see ya there!
If Mr.P. can get that Corvair started, and nobody crashes into the back of it going over 17 mph. Second thought, come get me in the bathysphere, and bring a bucket. I'm a lightweight when it comes to malt liquor!

Sonuvagun! That explains the stabbing pain I felt when I knocked back that Screwdriver! (I can be too damned literal for my own good: I nearly severed my spinal chord trying to imbibe my Fuzzy Navel... ) And here I thought the gaskets I was blowing were popping from personal stress-levels (I feel marginally better, now that I have someone else to ascribe blame to ).

I checked into the bilge-pump- turns out the Swedish pump, while a few bucks more, has multiple applications on those long voyages…

The Corvair’s just awaiting my putting her carbs back on, hooking up the various linkages, dumping in all the requisite fluids, and she’s good to go! Oh yeah… Title change and registering her might be worth doing, too…

The good thing about gaining the summit is that it’s all down-hill from there. (In this part of the World, “This Car Climbed Mt. Washington” bumper-stickers proudly adorn many cars. I can’t see that as having a positive effect on re-sale value… ) Just make sure your brakes are up to the job before you clear the foothills!

By the bye- I believe that was that fine Ford product, the Pinto, that had the gasoline-powered ejection-seats activated by a 17 M/H impact… a very reasonable reaction to that sort of love-tap, in my humble opinion!

So long as she remains parked in the garage, I avoid Mr. Nader’s dour prophesy…

Mr.P You're talking to someone who drove a Saab 900 Turbo: Special Performance Group for 8 years. I'm used to the stares and ignition between the seats!

I'm in the market for a Citroen now. Silly me.

Speaking of Mr. Nader's dour prophesies, will he be running for president again? Might be a well needed jumpstart.

I'm glad that you're finally out of that Singapore Sling and back with us again. I missed ya, bud!
